Demons and Heroes

She smiled and continued packing the essentials. Once she was done she let out a sigh.
"Ready to head out?" she asked calmly

 

"Yep." he said. He grabbed some things and started to head out.

 

She took the rest of the stuff and headed out along with Cole.
"This is going to be a rough journey," she said softly.

 

"Yes it is, but we can handle it!" he said, smiling at her.

 

She nodded softly. Though she wondered. She smiled and continued walking with Cole through the forest

 

Twilight hugged him back. "Why must you be so unbelievably perfect, Gharanth? It's hard to imagine that any of this is real. It's so much like a dream."

 

" I can assure you that I am not perfect, far from it. I am just happy and in love. I know that you will be loved and protected without any conditions. I will do anything to keep you happy."

 

"You are perfect to me." She sighed. "The best thing that has ever happened to me."

 

"You are the best thing that has happened in my life. When I am with you colours are more vibrant and the air is sweeter. It is as if you are really the sun."

 

Twilight laughed. "Yeah. Me. A peasant girl, the sun." She shook her head at the very thought. "I'm more like a wilting flower that you've somehow brought back to life."

 

"Then you are the rarest rose that blooms and everyone stands in awe of its beauty. I will bathe in your light or grow drunk on your perfume. Either way you have my soul."

 

Twilight felt her face go red and she fought a smile. "You're doing it again." She sighed happily.

 

"Doing what? I am merely telling the truth. I would never lie to you."

 

"I know that, Gharanth. You are a much better person than you give yourself credit for." She caressed the side of his face, looking into his red eyes. "No matter what you see yourself as on the outside."

Twilight smiled. "By my side forever huh?" She leaned up and kissed him. "I think I can live with that."

 

Gharanth smiled and kissed her back. "I'm glad you can live with it. I won't go anywhere so its better that you approve. Now we just need to finish your training. I have a strange compulsion to get wet."

 

"Good, cause with my aim. You most likely will."

 

"Are we going the right way?" he asked her.

 

"I think so. Don't you have the map?" she asked
