Demons and Heroes

"When should we leave?" he asked.

 

She kissed his cheek.
"Anytime you are ready," she said smiling.

 

He yawned. "How about tommorrow?"

 

She smiled.
"Sounds like a perfect time. You need your rest. I will watch over you tonight as your guardian angel," she said then hugged him.

 

"Aww and I wanted to sleep beside you." he said, smiling.

 

"If you wish it, it will be granted," she said smiling. She kissed his soft lips for a few seconds, then broke it off.
"Tomorrow starts a journey. We should get very good rest," she said smiling.

 

"That we should." he said. He lay down and got comfortable.

 

She lay down next to him and smiled.
"Sweet dreams," she said softly

 

He kissed her and said "Goodnight." He hugged her.

 

She hugged him back.
"Goodnight," She said, then closed her eyes and fell asleep.

 

He closed his eyes and also fell asleep.

 

Natalie had a dreamless night. Well, most of it. After seeing nothing, she bega to have a nightmare.

 

He slept a dreamless sleep and awoke a couple hours later.

 

Natalie saw Cole in her dreams. She saw herself too. But in her dreams, she saw him disappearing.
"No," she said softly

 

He held her close, trying to comfort her as she slept.

 

Natalie felt him close to her. She slightly opened her eyes. And blinked repeatedly until her eyes adjusted to the light. She looked up with sorrow. Sadness in her eyes.

 

"Don't worry." he said. "It was just a nightmare."

 

She nodded slightly. She saw him still holding her close. She blushed.

 

He blushed and kissed her.

 

She continued to blush as she kissed him back, slowly closing her eyes.
