Gharanth kissed her, enjoying the exquisite peace and love that surrounded them. There would be enough challenges without causing more. He wondered what the coming day would bring. Twilight had to train with the orb before Xana tried to take it from her. He would protect her, even if it meant his life.

 

Twilight stretched her stiff arms and stood up from her covers. She slid into her boots and pulled her cloak on, fastening it securely.
"So what are we gonna do now?" Twilight asked as she brushed her long brown hair out with her fingers. "Do we head to this Elemental warrior place Xana gave us directions to or do we go after Xana. Or Aldon. Or..." She breathed, slumping down to sit next to Gharanth. "What do you think?"

 

"I've had worse than that Jecht. I do feel your pain, but getting angry about it is the wrong way. Natalie is very good at controling anger. She probabbly doesn't want me to go very close to her right now, but she can help yopu deal with this better than what I can. A woman knows how to handle this. I'm not going to let you get angry. Do you think Ryoko likes you when you are angry? Do you think that makes her happy?" Dameon asked.

"First you must learn to master the orb. I will be with you and I am a strong swimmer. There is a lake nearby and we can practice there. Xana is too powerful for you at present and I will die to protect you. I don't want you to be helpless. I couldn't bear it if something happened to you."

 

Twilight drew in a sharp breath. "I do not want you ever to say you will die for me or for any other reason." She wrapped her arms tight around him as if they had only a little time left together. "I don't think my heart would be able to take it if..."

 

"We will always be together, it's just I will protect you with all my strength. I love you more than anything else in this world and I want everything to be safe for you. I will never leave your side."

Twilight closed her eyes and pictured again the man from her dream. The one that would use the orbs for destruction. She wouldn't let him hurt Gharanth. She wasn't gonna let Gharanth get hurt. She would count on it. He so wanted to protect her, but the only thing she wanted was for him to be happy.

 

jecht felt as though he had been shot dameon had gone to far

"leave ryoko out of this besides natalie probably hates me as much as you i tried to kill her of my own free will"

 

"You are misunderstood Jecht. Ryoko cannot be left out of this. She is affected by your attitude and hatred. Keep the anger out of yourself. Hmm, true Natalie might not consider you a friend, but she might be a slim chance help you," he said

 

"heh and if i choose not to go?"

 

"Then your anger will get the best of you, and I'll force you to go, If I have to drop kick you there i WILL" Dameon said.

pulling out his sword

 

"I will protect you. I won't let you get hurt again." he said, stetting her down.

Natalie sighed and hugged him.
"Cole...I love you. Oh so very much," she said softly...

She sighed and looked closly into his eyes...Her eyes started glowing light blue.
"Cole, be honest with me. What are your feelings towards Dameon?" she asked.

Dameon saw him pulling out his sword.
"I have not the patience, nor do I want to waste my time...If you want to be angry, then go ahead. Let your rage take over, hurt those who you care for, and care for you. But if you dare cross my path, I will not hesitate to kill you," he said..
