ooc: Gharanth has her bag!

Gharanth moved with surprising speed for his size. His steps were sure on the uneven ground. "Are you managing alright or do you want to help me?" He held out his hand to help her on the steep slope.

 

ooc: woops. Sorry.

Twilight skipped up onto the rocks next to him and shrugged." I can manage, thank you." She smiled and tapped the tip of his nose with her finger. "Think you can keep up?" She grinned wider, taking a few more steps but keeping her eyes on him.

 

He laughed and ran forward, overtaking her. "I'm fine. I'm more concerned about you." He slowed and grabbed her, carrying her down the slope. He was steady and sure as he ran down the side of the mountain with her. At the bottom he stopped and put her down. Kissing her hand he walked beside her.

 

Twilight smiled, looking up the mountain slope. "Who do you think stopped by our cave last night?" She asked almost silently, holding his hand and leaning her head against his arm.

 

"I'm not sure but that Aldon guy has been pestering me. He would have left if he found out I wasn't alone. I guess he wanted me to get an orb for him again but I don't trust him. He is the kind that would make someone else take all the risks and then steal the prize for his own dark ends. Either that or he is after the lightening orb. I wonder if he's completely fireproof?"

 

Twilight clentched Gharanth's arm and giggled a little. "Fire proof? If he is, you still have three other orbs to use on him right? Nature, dark, and...wind..." She sighed, squeezing his hand, feeling the rough skin against her palm.

 

"I will use them for good and defense. He will wish he never crossed us and he will never hurt you. I can imagine that he has no or little fire protection and the hot magma with fry him. He will have to change his name to Mr Crispy."

 

Twilight laughed out loud. Despite what no doubt awaited them at the end of their travels, she wasn't worried. Not with Gharanth around.
"I do not know this Aldon man you beleive came into our cave. Is he looking for power? Or to protect the orbs?"

ooc: shoot. I have to go. Ill be on later hopefully.

 

"Sadly I believe he's looking for power. There is something evil about him and I know darkness. He will be stopped." Gharanth held her delicate hand in his own. He loved that she trusted him and that she knew that he would be there for her. He had a reason to live.

ooc: Bye. I'll have to go in a few minutes.

 

Aldon:
*reaches the top and sees the lightning orb in some clouds*

So there you are!

*an evil laughter is heard*

??????:
So you want this orb?
You have to beat me to get it!

*Aldon looks at the cloud*
*in it stood a big shadow in a strange looking shape*

Aldon:
Are you the guardian of that orb?

??????:
No, but I too have come for that orb......

Aldon:
Too bad, I was here first and......

??????:
I don't think you get the point, you are weaker then me, I can sense that your weak, also don't you already have an orb?

Aldon:
Yes, but I would like to expand a little bit and especially sense that is the last free orb!

??????:
Enough!
I don't have time for games, now it's time to take that orb!

*the stranger draws out a sword and it emits a strange yellow glow*

Aldon:
Strange power or not, I won't lose to some shadow with bright lights to stop me!

*pulls out the elemental blade and it turns into water*
*the water starts spreading around*

Now, let's see if I'm as weak as you say!

*Aldon charges at the shadow*

Twilight shivered, the sky above her was dark but not because of rain.
"Gharanth...we must hurry..."

 

Gharanth picked her up and ran. He pushed his body to the limit running faster and further than he had before. For Twilight he would do anything.

 

Twilight held tight to Gharanth. She could feel his heart pounding in his chest. "Gharanth...please don't push yourself too hard for me." She burried her face in the side of his neck, the wind sweaping her hair back.

 

"This is no challenge as I am with you. Just hold tight my love and I will make sure that you are safe. I have never been beaten by the elements and I won't now. As long as you are alright I will always be fine."

Gharanth enjoyed the feel of her warmth next to him.

 

Sighing deeply, Twilight traced one of the scars showing on his arm, his cool skin agaist her fingertips.

 

"My scars upset you, don't they? They are part of my past, reminders of who I am and why I have become the person I am. They do not hurt, just act as permanent reminders that I have not always chosen the right path."

 

"But all of that is in the past now. What is done is done. The thought that such things happend to you does hurt a bit but not as much as being without you." She held him tightly and smiled.

 

"I smile now when I think of the future with you. We will soon be at our destination and you will be able to have your prize." Gharanth blinked in disbelief. "I see Aldon battling a monster. This may be to our advantage."

 

Twilight nodded silently. Her gaze rising to meet the towering mountain before them. "Aldon will not get the orb." She told herself in a whisper, but there was still a hidden doubt in her eyes.
