Ceri threw her arms around his neck. "I was so worried about you. Don't scare me like that."

 

Philippe peered out the window, "I wonder what those demons are planning now?"

 

"I'm sorry." he said, hugging her back.

 

jecht was now tick with the lack of notice and the lack of time he could be with natalie

"ok now im done"

he threw the orb over into the forest then collaped on the roof and held his left arm which had been destroyed up to his elboy

"gahhh"

 

"We can only hope that delayed them for a while. I have a feeling that they will be back though."

 

"They always do come back." Xandor mumbled, "Can't leave us alone, can they?"

 

"No they can't." he said.

 

"One day we will be free of them. Until then we fight together. It is only a matter of time before they fall."

 

"But what about what my evil side said? About you dying in the future."

 

"The future is only one possibility. It can be rewritten. I don't believe him anyway."

 

Xandor sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed. He looked around the room. We would all be happier if they just left us alone. Are those demons happy fighting? I wonder if they would be happier if they left us alone, as well. He scowled. Ya, that's why they keep coming back.

Philippe suddenly remembered something he had to say. "Uh, Ceri and Kyle, I, uh, I mean Xandor and I, we are sorry that we missed the wedding."

 

"You're right." he said, still a little uneasy.

 

Ceri hugged Philippe and Xandor. "It's ok. I understand. I'm just glad you came back at last. I was beginning to worry about you."

 

"What, worry about us? What kind of trouble could we possibly get into?" Xandor laughed.

Philippe touched the scar on his face, but smiled, "Xandor and I, we missed you guys."

 

"So are you going to tell me how you got the scar?" Ceri hugged Kyle. "It will be alright my love. Don't worry."

 

"We missed you guys too."

 

Philippe pulled his hand away from his face. The scar was aching again. Sometimes, it felt like it was still bleeding, but it wasn't. Sometimes it felt his face was freezing up, like the scar sucked the warmth away. This is absurd. Scars are just marks from a battle. Nothing more. He hadn't told Xandor about these strange sensations, because Xandor might think he was crazy. I did get this scar from a powerful demon, who knows what powers he had. No, I have to stop worring about it. He forced a smile, "This thing? It was just another battle that I had to save Xandor from dying."

"Hey!"

After glancing at Xandor, he looked back at Ceri and continued on, "It's nothing. I forget it is there half the time." He smirked, "It does look kinda neat. I mean it is the shape of a crescent moon." He pulled away from that topic. "So, what is being married like?"

 

"Wonderful. It's nice to feel you belong as part of a whole. Kyle is my better half. His strength and compassion are amazing."

 

"And Ceri completes me." he said. "Her tender, loving care is pure joy."

BIC: Philippe smiled. He was happy for them.

Xandor smiled, too, "That is great that you two found each other."
