As a physicist, I don't see any problem with Superman's feats. Even if you neglect the black hole thing, Superman just has more impressive feats. Moving planets on multiple occasions? Check. Surviving the most powerful observed universal phenomena? Check. Benching the Earth's weight for five days without the help of the Sun? Check. Moving faster than the speed of light? Check.

Superman is many times physically stronger than Goku. He's also a hell of a lot more durable. Mathematically, Goku is incapable of matching Superman. Even if Goku could put out more energy and if he was faster than Supes as well, he'd still be out of luck.

At base, Goku can't even lift 1000 tons. Even if we pretended that was the limit of his strength, he'd still max out at 4 million tons with SS4. Not even 1% of Superman's strength. Then there's durability. An exploding planet is enough to kill Goku even at SS1. With the multipliers of his other transformations, that would never be enough to equal one supernova (which Superman can survive).

Has anyone ever told you that your avatar looks like he's pelvic thrusting every time it resets?

No, but I'm taking it as a compliment. Regardless if you meant it as one or not. He's thrusting into your soul.

Just because it happened in canon means nothing. There are plenty of things that are canon and shouldn't be counted because they are impossible. There's nothing wrong with saying it's impossible if there's no logic to it whatsoever, and that's what we're saying. Sure, there's technically no logic to super powers, but at least they come up with some kind of explanation for most of them, even if it's somewhat of a stretch.

And I take that rude comment as a compliment, thank you very much

    Anything is possible.

  7. The day a guy can survive multiple supernova's or kills a evil space emperor with a ki blasrr, that statement will be true.

Okay, let's ignore closing a black hole. How about holding one in his hand?

I'm not even sure what the heck i'm seeing here, but it still looks weird. Talk about placing something out of context.

Moving planets on multiple occasions? I'd believe it if I could see it that made sense. Surviving most powerful observed universal phenomena? Gotta be more specific. Benching the Earth's weight? Don't think so. Moving faster than the speed of light? I never figured to think about it, but you said you're a physicist and you don't find that weird? It's like in Neverending Story 2, where they say Speed of Darkness is faster than the Speed of Light. Nothing is faster than the speed of light, and Einstein says as well.
And I don't believe how much Superman can lift, because I'm pretty sure that we can't make a machine to duplicate a weight that 's many times greater than our planet, so I don't believe that Superman can lift 200 Quintillion tons.

Superman's strength is psionic in nature. So yes, it's possible for him to do that without a planet tearing itself to bits under its own gravity. This has happened many times already so it doesn't matter what you believe, you're arguing with canon.

Actually, Einstein is wrong. Several things move faster than light. Space expands faster than light. Particles escaping black holes move faster than light through the Uncertainty Principle. Never argue physics with a physicist. ...Oh wait, please do because it's enlightening for everyone. Questions are the path to knowledge!

Your beliefs don't matter. Such a machine is physically possible to exist. Us humans can't make it but there's no physical laws preventing it from existing. Given that it's a comic book and that the machine was made by a scientist in a comic book, it's pretty easy to suspend belief for that. Superman moved the Earth several times in current canon so saying that he can't do it is just denial at its finest. That's like me saying Goku's Instant Transmission isn't instant simply because a feat like that has no describable physical laws. The manga says it's instantaneous, therefore it is.

If you want to ignore Superman's canon, then don't be so biased and pretend that everything Goku can do is believable.

Anything is possible due to probability. It is physically possible for my hand to phase through my own desk given a near infinite amount of times I try to do it. Of course, I'd be dead long before then and/or my desk would break down due to the amount of times I'd be hitting my desk(oh and I'd probably injure my hand too).

    Thrust thrust thrust...

And all of that was pulled right out of the writer's butt[DOUBLEPOST=1358198407][/DOUBLEPOST]

Oh yeah, like arguing with canon is such a bad thing. All I'm doing it arguing against the stupidity of the thought called superman.

Believe me, I could argue with a physicist all I want, but I'm playing Star Wars right now, which still has more sense than superman's piece of crap. And I don't talk well when it comes to science, since I always confuse thing between different areas of science, meaning you'd only get more of a chance to prove you're right when you're not. Science doesn't prove everything, and when you find a full, concrete way to explain something that can escape a black hole, let me know, because when something is called "uncertainty principle", I'm pretty certain it's uncertain.

For one, it's not a belief if it's impossible for us to make something to weigh that much. Not too mention, the comic takes place in modern day, meaning unless we can actually make a machine to create that kind of weight, it's another piece of crap.

Everything Goku can do is believable, because at least they can explain the reasons he does what he does, instead of saying "oh guess what? Superman can do anything just because he has a yellow sun to help him."

    Stephen Hawking says so.

I'm the forum's best physicist for a reason!

Goku has Ki to help him. Something that only exists in his universe. Saying what he can do is believable when Ki does not actually exist but then discrediting Superman's powers is pretty silly. Then again...I'm using my time to prove that Superman is stronger than another fictional character. Listen, I like Goku more than Supes, but Superman doesn't face the same kind of problems as Goku. Superman serves as the ultimate example for a "good guy".

Oh and...there's a character in DC that's more overpowered than Superman. It's Batman. Batman would crush Goku because Batman. Only Batman can defeat Batman(and it's happened). Also, Superman may be overpowered but he's still a great character. To me anyways. He's not Goku, his character isn't all about fighting and making himself better. Superman exists to make other people better. Until Batman breaks their face. <<

When you're talking about 1 particle, that principle might make sense, but we're talking about a full on person, who is made up of how many particles? I don't think the principle quite counts when it's a person.

And batman is not overpowered either. Yes, he's got a lot of gadgets, but just because he's a great character does not mean he is overpowered either. He just knows how to use his assets. And by the way, if you want to say I'm arguing with Batman, please say so, because the whole joke about no one being able to win against batman is dumb as well.

Seen the video now and I have to say I disagree with some of those things. First of all, I can't believe those idiots said power levels don't mean anything...

They obviously didn't know or have forgotten that power levels can be masked to fool the scouters. I also feel that I should point out that that was Abridged Goku fighting Superman and not the real Goku. I know the Abridged Series was meant strictly for comedy but it still left out a good many important things. The real Goku has displayed techniques that I feel certain Superman could not withstand. I'll mention again that Superman was badly wounded by Doomdsay and Darkseid before finally beating them. And pretty much anybody who has Superhuman strength can damage Superman if they punch him. And from what I've seen the real SSJ4 Goku would blow a hole right through Superman with his 10x Kamehameha or could pretty much just punch a hole through him or tear his arm off and beat him with the soggy end.

I'll also post this video here that I just found:

So let me get this straight. Goku fanboy's argument is that Superman's power doesn't make sense therefore it shouldn't be counted? NONE of this makes sense. If you dissect Goku's powers enough, or anything fictional, it won't make sense eventually. What makes you think you can draw the line of what makes enough sense to be counted and what isnt? Go contact DC Comics and complain Superman is "Superman is overpowered and its impossible ):". Its their super hero, they make the rules.

This is my character Chocolate Chip Cookie Man. He has the power that anyone who touches him explods and he is also invincible. Can he beat Goku? Indeed he can. He can because hes my character, I make the rules.

Why don't you guys who are complaining so much make your own video of research? If it really gets that under your skin that Goku lost.
