I saw on YouTube they've begun taking down some of the fansubbed episodes of Death Note because it's being licensed and dubbed... anybody hear anything different? I'm off to find somewhere to download the episodes (I only got up to episode 16); but is it true they're going to begin dubbing DN?

What Viz are going to do is release a subbed version on the internet for people to download (whether or not it will be free, i'm not sure) and then they will release a dubbed DVD.

I doubt Viz will make the subbed episodes for 'free'. They wouldn't make much profit out of that.

What's Death Note About?

 

Death Note is about a guy named Light,who finds a notebook called Death Note. The notebook has the ability to kill anyone who's true name is written in it. Light soon starts to kill a bunch of murderers with it,and a man named L. tries to stop him. It's a REALLY good Anime....

Death Note is a really good anime if you watch it from the beginning. If you just watch it in the middle of the complication, you won't understand.

 

I don't watch or read death note.

Mm, Death Note goodness. I've read the manga scanslated, so I already know it all up to the end. AND I've seen the second Death Note movie. OMG! It has a waaaay better ending than the manga (and I assume the anime is going to be the same as the manga). My favorite characters have to be L and Rem..

I find Rem to be the most interesting God of Death...mainly because I think Ryuk is just creepy.

 

Well, I started watching it two days ago (I finally dared, and it was not scary at all.)
I am currently at episode 16 and I think it is a great anime ,especially all the thinking stuff.
(But have anybody else noticed ?we have two death note treads >.>)

I think Light is pretty cruel with Misa in episode 15 and a little before.
He just treats her like she was nothing. >.>

 

x3 You should try the movie - its live action and it follows the anime quite well ^^

I have the first DVD - wnating the second one xD and I WILL get the second one because the shop just got it in! wOOt!

But yeha, try the movie out ^^ the cating is retty good, the characters look like the anime ones, so yeah~ if you like the anime you like the movie, but the movie is a good watch ^^

And,L. and Zexion are kinda alike. They both strike thoughtful poses. It seems like the smart ones do that..weird. They also are WIKED cool!
