History: Lucas parents had both been murdered when he was young, and he had vowed to avenge their deaths. The murderer were never caught, but he still wants to help catch all those baddies out there.
Abilities: Lucas is a great sneak. He can pick locks and sneak around without making a sound. He works best when he is sent to gather intelligence.
Knowledge: Lucas has a very good knowledge of locks, along with some mechanics.

L was walking around the city of Tokyo. Everyone looked at him as if he was a hobo. L was a bit annoyed of this but kept walking. Everyone kept gasping at his black marks under his eyes. His hair and clothes. He decided to go inside a store to buy something. Besides he didnt care about everyone thought of him.

 

Lucas stood in a store, sorting out products onto the shelfs. If anyone came near him, they would hear him grumbling about "being kicked off the squard for being to young" under his breath. Finally finished with the shelf he picked up the emtpy box and went to take up the emtpy spot beside the cashier, who smiled, ruffled his hair and left. Great, now I'm stuck with this stupid job... he thought.

 

L looked around he picked up a copy of Full Metal Alchemist Volume 1.He went to the counter and looked at Lucas. "I would like to buy this copy of FMA please".He showed him the copy of the Manga.

 

Lucas took the volume from L quickly and put it up on the register. "$12.99" he said inbetween grumbles and put the book in a bag. His grumbles now included, "stupid police force" and "best dang sneak". He waited for L to give him the money before he gave him the book.

 

L heard his whisper. "What was that?". He was curious of Lucas. Lucas had said something about the police force and him being the best sneak ever. L studied him hard looking at his face. He knew that something was strange about Lucas. He knew that Lucas probably isnt a normal clerk.He handed him the money.

 

Lucas immediatly stopped grumbling. He took the money and put it in the register, giving L his change and the book. "Nothing. I was just saying that I used to work with the police force. They kicked me off because they said I'm to young for that kind of thing." he said without thinking. When he finally realized what he said he mentally kicked himself. He could get hurt, or worse if he randomly went about saying he helped the police.

 

"You helped the police?" L asked.He took the FMA book and the change.However L was suspicious of this boy being exactly like him. He continued studying him. he saw that This boy was indeed intelegent. He wondered how he got into the police force before 19 years old. This boy was no ordinary boy.Being able to work with the police before 19 years old was a great gift. He knew that Lucas could be helpful to him. "What are your specialty's?" He asked him.

 

Lucas shifted uncomfortablly. He didn't know if he should tell L or not...Finally, he thought that it couldn't hurt, because the police already knew about it. "I pick locks, gather intelligence," he said quickly and studied L thuroly (sp?).

 

L's conclusions were right. This 16 year old boy was a gifted child. L's name was known by everyone in the world as the greatest detective to ever exist. He then leaned foreward to Lucas. "I need to tell you that I am L." He told Lucas in a whisper.

 

Lucas's eyes went wide. "Y-you're kidding..." he whispered back. But why would someone joke around like that? But when Lucas had first heard of L, he had always thought that L would be rich, and dressed up, and artsy fartsy. But this man was...so...poor looking.

 

"Im not Kidding." L whispered to him. "You are very young and you must be very talented for you age. You could help me in a few case's". L studied him. He knew what Lucas was thinking. He knew Lucas thought that This man was to poor and to dirty looking to be L. "This is no joke. . ."

 

Lucas swallowed. "I know...I'm Lucas..." he said quietly. He then put up a finger, as if to say wait, and left to the back room. He took off his apron, grabbed his backpack, and headed back out to the front. He stopped beside L. "Let's get out of here. All the manga is starting to creep me out," he said with a short laugh and smile.
