"Why don't you go check?" L asked blankly. "Or do you want to leave him alone for now...?"

 

"What do you mean for now?" She asked, rather surprised at the exact phrasing of it. That wasn't a saying one used when asking if someone was best left alone.

 

"Well you do liek him and all..." L continued. "You're obviously going to want to be with him at times..."

 

"Well... umm... yeah... but he doesn't always want me around you know..." She mumbled, blushing slightly red.

 

"Mello just has a hard time admitting his feelings." L explained casually. "I'm sure deep down he wants you aroudn now don't be so shy."

 

"I doubt it..." She mumbled hanging her head. "He doesn't really seem to care that I care..."

 

Mello..." L started again, eating some more of his cake. "Hates to admit his feelings... even to himself."

 

"Maybe... But stil... It's not nice to hear..." She mumbled, brushing her long hair behind her ear.

 

L just held out the cake o her. "If you must whine then have some cake..."
