*I've seen up to episode 2 but I'm downloading them all and rewatching anyway, I still don't think I've seen all of 2*

In the manga Watari, holds a special school in Great Britain. But I don't remember if they said L was from Britian though....

Go past episode 25 it should explain it. He was brought up in an Orfanage in Britain which Watari owned.

Don't let what happens in episode 25 turn you off.

Near and Mello (near more than mello) really make things interesting, i'm finding the current episodes to be really good. Any fans of L will like Near.
