No, I am serious. They both are like wannabe- L. And they are making Near smarter than L sort of, at least I think in my opinion.
And I hate Near's little so called 'failure- rule' that's what I call it.
The one with if you can't complete anything without failing then you are a failure.
Like his little games.

And I can't say I like Mello either, Near is better than him.
And Mello's chocholate thing annoys me. What is the reason with that?.

Near is similar to L in the way he acts only it's toys not sweets, so L fans should like him but not as much as L. But there is the factor of oh he is a wannabe. Well don't forget one of them is suppose to be True Second L.

No I don't think he is that similar. He is always going to the police squad he did not form his own team as L. And the link between the toys and the sweets is a little weird. L only ate them and maybe did a strategy with them once or twice. Near is obsessed with the toys he keeps going with them all the time.
Yes he is a wannabe >.> I havn't forgot that but L wanted Light to take over =P.
But hey the thing abouve are just my opinion, no fasit xD

Near uses toys for pretty much the same reason L eats sweets. Also the way he sits is similar to L only one leg is in that stance and so on and so forth, there are striking similarities. So in a sense he is a wannabe, but don't forgot he was brought up to maybe become the successor to L.

 

I wouldn't say Near is an L wannabe, especially since he even deemed L as a failure. He's not a wannabe just because he's similar to L. >.> I like that Near and Mello have their little quirks, just like L did...

Oh and it's true that L, Mello and Near all spent time in an orphanage in Britain (Winchester to be more precise). =D

Yeah, they all have their habits, but I still think they are a little wannabe L.
It's cool that they come from the same place though.

(L eats sweets, Near plays with toys, Mello eats chocolate constantly & Light kill people. They all have their habits xD)

 

But Light's isn't really a habit. He kills to save the world. He doesn't just write down names in the Death Note in front of everybody while trying to find KIRA. But Near and L did all their habits in front of the investigation team.
