I saw both the movies ages ago and found them quite engaging, though overall I much prefer the anime. I have my reasons, but to avoid spoilers I'm just going to shut up and leave this thread now.

 

i saw the first one on youtube, but stupid mods on there deleted it.

 

I've only seen the part I want to see: the other ending.

No spoilers, but I think the ending to the second movie does a bit more justice to the characters then the Anime does.

 

By movie...I'm assuming you're talking about the live-action one.

Great way to introduce the franchise to others who are not interested in Death Note or anime.

 

I haven't seen the first one but I saw the second one and I own it.

Pretty interesting,I saw the movie before watching the anime and that's how I got addicted to it but I'm not a rabid fangirl of it ._.

I loved the ending much more then the anime.

 

I was considering buying the movie even though it's in Japanese I found it with subtitles. Is it any good? Did you all like it?

Hmm. Trying to watch the anime, but the English dubs nearly kill me, and I'm too lazy to go and find ones with subs at the moment.

Movie-wise... I've seen most of the second one and have yet to watch the first one.... weird, huh?

 

I only saw part of the first one, but what I saw blew me away. Ryuk was so well made. I actually thought it was a guy dressed up and **** until I saw the eyes and the wings more carefully. Pure genius.

Edit: 1min later...i searched google...in japan i heard they put REAL charecters...COOL!!!! I want to see it in english!!!!!!!!
