Death Note movie in America!

Lucky people. Closest is about an hour away and I can't drive. :(

 

DN live action

i haven't been on in a long time, so i don't know if you guys know this. today and tomorrow in america, they are going to show the live action Death note movie in theatres. usually i'm SOL (Sh** out of luck) when it comes to select theateres. the town i'm in has a theater that's showing it. i wanna see it.

they say they are dubbing the movie. are they going to use voice actors who need money, or are they going to use the voice actors for the Death note english anime?

I thought it was great. They used the voices from the anime.

story aka how close to anime : 8.5 out of 10
voice : 9 out of 10 (i only have subbed no dub)
3D : 8.25 out of 10 some ok a lot of lighting was off in the 3d maps
(i do my own 3d work at a higher lvl)

i speak Japaneses i have no need for subs or dubs so i have not seen them

 

So...Death Note's being Americanized by Universal...

So, I just heard that Death Note's being made into a live-action movie by Universal...this terrifies me. I mean, I know they've already made live-action movies in Japan, but...I'm really scared that they're going to screw up the story and characters and...well, everything. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

i haven't heard about it. dang it! i wnated it to wait like a year or two becuase i wanted to play L. i'm a great actor, but i don't look his age.

 

It will probably fail in America.

 

There's been a Japanese live-action Death Note, but not an American one.

I'm gonna be so pissed if they screw this up.

And i watched part of the asian live action show, and promptly stopped because it bugged me too badly.

As long as it's not done by Michael Bay or have Shia Lewhatever, i may keep tabs on this.

Actually...that could be kind of cool if MNS did DN now that i think about it...if George Lucas did, it would be drained bone dry from marketing.
