    It IS pretty good.

    Light's voice fits his character for the most part. Ryuk's voice has the sound to alter from a sinister to a more calmer voice. L's voice owns so far.

    Yes, I loved his voice in episode six. He pulled off sounding childish really well. He almost sounded embarrassed when he said "well....I'm also childish and hate to lose....that's how I know" which was a really nice touch.

    Oh my gawd, I know!

    Just saw episode 7, Ryuk made me laugh so hard xD
    Watari also seemed better o_O Ansem the Wise FTW.
    Light's VA is actually REALLY good as far as emotion goes. He went through like 5 different phases in 30 minutes and still made it sound good. Gotta say, I'm impressed.

    And L's VA is definatly getting used to his character. You can tell.

    Well I say the Japanese version wasn't intense enough. I've watched a few of the Japanese episodes, and I don't like the voices as much as the English. They are still good voices, but from my perspective, they don't match the characters well. My guess is that upon being translated into different languages, the characters and their voices had to change slighty in order to match the nature of the language.

    It's all a matter of what you're accustom to. If you've seen the Japanese version first, you will probably like the Japanese voices more.

    I, for one, like both equally. And your absolutly right about the voices being changed to accustom the language. For those who speak both languages, It's easy to see this.

    The Japanese version is amazing, and original, but keep in mind, that probably wahy DN is in america. because it was so big in japan, why not try to make it big here?    ​
