Death Note: Another Story

"Hey, Light. Did you see that TV report? Jeanne du Arc manages to do in 10 mintues what takes other 3 months!" Rhixan said, trying not to start laughing again.

 

"Hm? Only caught a little of the report... stupid criminals... they all deserve to die..." Light growled.

 

Rhixan frowned. "Yeah... But you never know, some might steal to help their familes." She bit her knuckles, wanting to scream at him.

 

"True, but that doesn't justify it..." Light sighed.

 

"... I would steal to help my family... IF they were alive..." Rhixan sighed. "Have you done the homework? I'm stuck on question two."

 

"Oh... yeah. I'm done." Light smiled.

 

Rhixan smiled. "Great! ... Tell me how to do them all please?"

 

"Okay. Question 2. x - 7x ÷ 15 x 3= 72. First, we have to find what x equals." Light explained the questions.

 

Rhixan scrambled around for a piece of paper and started copying down everything Light said. "How do you get all of this?!"

 

"I'm not sure... I just do." Light laughed.

 

"I swear you were raised on Math books instead of baby books." Rhixan laughed too.

 

Light laughed more. "Possible."

 

Rhixan nodded. "Y-" She stopped in mid-sentence.

 

"What?" Light asked.

 

Rhixan dropped the phone. Her eyes shutting, she fainted onto the floor.

 

"Rhixan? Rhixan!" Light ran out of his room and out the front door. Light ran to Rhixan's house and climbed up the side, going through her bedroom window.

 

Rhixan was unconcious. Jeanne du Arc had started to suck her energy away.

 

Light saw Rhixan on the floor and ran to her. He propped her head up in his arms and checked her pulse.

 

Rhixan's eyes opened slightly. She wasn't aware of Light there. "Oh what.... the hell is Jeanne.... doing....? Why... now...?"

 

Light blinked. "Who the... What?"
