Death Note 100 years later *kinda spoilers*

This is the tale of the Death Note. One hundred years after the death of L and Kira, the Shinigami have come to Earth with one goal in mind: to wipe out the human race. The Death Note has no effect on them. Mortal weapons do little damage. They are nearly indestructable. The human race has gone into hideing. But one human was able to slay the Shinigami Ryuk. The war between the human race and Shinigami has begun.

"Move, move, move, move, move!" shouted a General as soldiers shot back at the Shinigami. One of the Death Gods flew into the air and stuck out it's hand. Four soldiers colapsed of heart attacks. "Pathetic mortals," it mumbled. A man ran out onto the battlefield. He pulled out a kunai and dipped it in holy water. He threw it at the Shinigami. The knife pierced it's heart and the creature fell to the ground.

"Wh-what the hell are you? You're no ordinary human." said the Death God.

"You're right. I am Kage Yagami grandson of Light Yagami and I am half Shinigami," the man said. He stuck out his hand and sucked the life from the god.

this is kinda off topic but... before this i never saw an episode of Death Note but i just watched the whole series today. and i thought it SUCKED when L died.

 

Um...

First of all, if the Shinigami attempted to wipe out the human race, they are pratically screwed. Because if they just exterminate us, well, they won't be able to add anymore years to their life. Okay, so they will live like for a very long time but they will die someday >.>.

If you have watched the anime or read the manga, then you should know that any Shinigami can not be seen unless a person has touched their Death Note. Eg; Light didn't see Rem until he touched Misa's Death Note. So unless every single person in the world has touched a very large amount of different Death Notes because of some random mass-production, I don't see how they can build a resistance or a 'black-ops' group to fight back.

Third, the Shinigami have the eyes. They can literally see the name of every single frickening person on the planet. So even if this descendant of Light can fight back, he's pretty much screwed anyway. The same goes with the soldiers.

Fourth, how the hell does Light have a grandson or become half-Shinigami? Could you at least explain how this actually happens? Did he like become a Shinigami at the end of DN, came back to Earth, got married and live happily ever after?

Hey, I like the story...the grammar and spelling's pretty good, and the story's already intriguing. Please continue it. :) Don't let anyone bring you down...I mean, he might have said it harshly, but I think he was only trying to help...to fix it, just say this is Death Note in an alternate universe, it'll make more sense! So please...continue this. I'm sure MadiYasha and the darkness consumes you will want you to as well. :)​

 

i might continue this sometime later this week cuz itll give me more time to look through my DN facts. its hard remembering it all when you watch every episode in the same day... and im just too lazy.

Light had no children, nevermind grandchildren, A katana would have NO effect on a death gGod,

And the death gods would hide in the dark killing all that passed by.

 

I wasn't trying to put you down, hiddenkeyblade3, I was giving criticism. I may have been harsh but I stand by what I posted.

You have to admit unless you are creating a alternative universe (AU) story then you have to go by the facts and the foundations of that particular universe (may it be an anime series or a video game). For example, if someone wrote a Light x L fanfic then it would make sense to give some examples when Light or L began to develop their feelings for one another in the anime/manga. If you had stated some evidence or wrote a paragraph 'how' the Shinigami are able to get hurt by a holy blade or something or even why they are trying to eliminate mankind in the first place then I would have eased up.

Follow this particular system when trying to write the background or history of a story:

WHO?
WHAT?
WHERE?
WHY?
HOW?

If you want to get better and more professional writing then you have to listen to criticism and learn from it. Regardless if they sound nasty.

"Come on up, touch each Death Note," a man behind a merchant counter said in the Shinigami Resistance Core. Many men walked up, nervously touching each one. Kage paced the area, with a small bit of worry. He knew even if he was what he was, he still didn't stand a chance against the Shinigami.

"Excuse me, sir," called a man from behind Kage. Kage turned around.

"May I help you?" he asked.

"I was just wondering... you said you were half Shinigami. Care to explain how?" the man asked.

"Well...here's what the case is. My grandmother met Light one year before his death. They both had my mother. Three months later, my grandfather was shot to death. My grandmother raised my mother until she was seventeen. Two years my mother left the house and met the Shinigami Ryuk. With him, she had me 18 years later. When I was thirteen, I began to learn of my Shinigami abilities. I learned to kill criminals and add half of their remaining years to my life. That's how I maintained to still look about twenty-two. When it was my sixteenth birthday, the Shinigami invaded. My father turned on the rest of my family. He killed my mother so I sucked out every last bit of life from his being. When I was ninteen I joined the SRC. They told me that with a fraction of my Shinigami power and holy water I could destroy one of them," Kage said.

"Another Shinigami attack in Tokyo," shouted a General.

"Well here we go again, delaying our imminent extiction," said the man.

"Yup. Oh by the way, what's your name?" Kage asked.

"Oh, I'll tell ya later," he said.

It doesn't make sense... And no guy tells his family history, especially one that dark to random stranger he doesn't even know his name off.

 

Hmmm........I don't know.......umm........should I even tell you?........there was just this.....one particular rule of the DeathNote pertaining to shinigami, and humans alike.......and...........umm.......yeah I won't say anymore unless you want to know....nevermind.....you said this was an AU....then....yeah.....ignore what I said.
