It's still a pretty diverse cast, with her being that and I like how diverse it is.

He is african-american. It's been confirmed.

All we need is a robot-kin to complain about Baymax and we'll have the whole tumblr menagerie.

No, don't forget the ****** GIF's that cut off way too soon and keep looping with overly saturated colors.

Hey, if my mom can have a year of dressing up my god daughter as Elsa, then I want to have the right to dress my little cousins as tiny chubby robots.

    LET THE HYPE TRAIN ROLL!

People enjoying something too much makes me enjoy it less, too.

Anyway, saw it last night. Personally, I loved it. It was a bit predictable, though, from the get-go, but most movies -especially Disney- are.
The only two issues I had were Hiro not giving his gear awesome capabilities, or at least not showing them and I couldn't pick up when the villain's origin happened. After a while, I figured it was pre-movie, but at first I thought it was during that few weeks time skip. Awesome movie, in my opinion; regardless of whether or not everyone else turns it into a fad.
I'm still hoping that Disney decides to make more obscure Marvel properties into films.

Heard essentially no hype about this movie. Was expecting a bad experience when I showed up late to the theater and this was the only thing playing. Was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't bad. Not gonna think about it ever again.

Didn't hear / see any hype about the movie either ( despite being on Tumblr like every day lol ). Someone asked if I wanted to see it this weekend, we went, it was enjoyable and tugged at my heart strings. Much better than Frozen in my opinion - even if that's not the point of the thread. I never really understood the Frozen hype because the movie was just so ridiculously average to me from the get go. It wasn't bad, it was just little more than cute to me.

It's annoying when something is unavoidably popular and shoved in my face constantly, but I haven't really gotten that with this movie - at least not yet and even if it happens I'll just block the tag on Tumblr, unfollow the people who spam it constantly and move on with my life, and at least if this movie is super-hyped, I'll understand the appeal.

On a side note, since it came up, the 'white washing' was kind of annoying but it was expected and I appreciate the diversity they threw in there in other places. I was just happy his name was still "Hiro" and not "Hero" ( which I was genuinely concerned about because no one was saying his name right until Honey Lemon. )

I dunno about actual canon, but in Disney Infinity his suit lets him control those microbots.

Saw Big Hero 6 just a while ago.

Pretty good movie. Hella predictable, and it felt very oddly short, but it was good. Not much special in its story. Loved the aesthetics though. Jeez this film had amazing animation. Think Frozen had a more well-done emotion side to its story.
