Well.. Lately I've been hit with animal cruelty. My cousin's friend found a kitten by the river around here. it was only two weeks old, and it was sick. It was in a box... And had nothing else to it's name.

It's hard for me to write this because my cousin's friend gave it to my sister, who gave it to me to take care of. And I loved him the second I saw him. He was the most adorable little kitten I've seen in forever. He was only 2 weeks old, and he was shivering alot. He sounded like he had a cold though, and we thought it was where he was out for so long.

We got some milk form the vet for him and the vet said to feed him every few hours... So the scond eday, he seemed to do so much better after I got done feeding him. I had to take him to my grandmothers, where my mom wouldn't let us keep him...

I couldn't wait to go see him on the third day. I was so happy that he was doing so much better. I had ran over on the fourwheeler to my grandmother's house to see how he was doing. I checked his box and saw he wasn't in there. My papaw said he was in the bed with my grandmother. When she woke up, she brought him down, with a frown.
She said he wasn't doing so good.. He couldn't even stand up and he wouldn't drink any milk. My heart felt like it was going to tear out' of my chest. So i took him and tried to feed him.
A few hours passed and he was getting sicker and sicker. My grandmother was watching us every so often. I had the kitten proped on my chest, and I made the mistake of picking him up, and i felt him cough once... I felt one little beat in his chest. And then, his eyes never closed.

That's when he died in my hands on September 5th, 2008

He was only two weeks old, and lived his life in a box... away from his mother..

Though it's sad, I'd like to hear everyone's response to the story I've just told... and tell about your love for animals...
It's not a made up story for attention, I'm just posting it because today is the 3rd anniversary and I've been so upset about it...

I bawled my eyes out when my 17-year old cat died in 2003
he was put to sleep after days of eating nothing
the saddest thing was, everyone was crying so much that nobody would hold him as they injected him
finally my mom offered to hold him
    thank you mom, so much
I will never forget you, Ashley
and I still cry when I think about him
    I can't imagine how bad you're feeling
I don't cry often but I am now
    so sorry

That's really sad...im very sorry. My dog we had for years, just recently die about a year ago from eating rat poison in the yard that they(the poeple who own the bulding) had put and never had a warning. Her kidneys failed and she didnt move or anything, i cried when she was finally put to sleep (she was alive..but kinda like in a brain-dead state) It still bothers me till this day, we still could have had her if they had put a warning

Animal cruelty like that is hard to bear, and stories like make me wanna rip out my heart somedays......but it helps to adopt from shelters, and to foster puppies and animals....I myself have eight shelter dogs, and two cats also adopted from the shelter...every little bit helps, even if it doesnt seem like it.

That's so sad. Animal cruelty is mainly for people who think that animals can be treated anyway they want. It's a very sad thing to see such a young animal die

That sucks. Other than that if it means helping people, and it's justified, I'm cool with experimentation.
