Deadman Wonderland: Absurdity is Reality

Shuya stopped in his tracks just before he would hit Charlotte. The smell of blood and death filled his nostrils as he watched the stranige man monologue. Shuya felt like gagging, but he was able to hold it in. "I take it this isn't a new feature of the dog races," Shuya joked to Charlotte.

 

There it was, Ezek one shot at victory gone with the arrival of some weird gun in front of them. With the panicked screams from the audience and the way he was using his blood, he guessed that he was a deadman, but the question was why was he here in the first place. "Now what?" He asked no one in paticular.

Zero continued to watch the dog race even after the surprise guest made an appearance. Things certainly just got interesting. He thought to himself as he continued to watch the events unfold.

 

The assassin got up from his seat when Shinra appeared on the screen and shifted nervously. Only a tad at first. He looked from Adolfo to the Warden and then narrowed his eyes. "Should I accompany him, Warden?" He said, the voice changer once again emitting that low, distorted voice. He rested hs hand on the hilt of his katana and felt a surge of bloodlust. "I haven't cut someone in a long time..." He said, low but still audible.

 

Warden Nagisa waved her other "security measures" down, "Don't be foolish. Adolfo is enough for one brat. It's all a matter of if he gets there in time to stop him from speaking too much." Her face settled into a pissed/concerned expression as she watched the screen intently.

Shinra held up his hands towards the ceiling and the half bodies followed, being flung into the open air. Charlotte watched quietly, despite Shuya's comments. "So you're Shinra...the one that lives in a secluded cell in Block G. I've heard a lot of bad things about you...Raven..." Shinra's lines of blood retracted into his wounds. The fact that there were so many wounds on his body to produce so much of his sin was awful. "Aye...it is true. I, Shinra, aka The Raven, just wanted to personally welcome you all...to MY very own nesting grounds." Charlotte shoved Shuya away from her, out of her line of fire, and pulled an arrow out of one of the half bodies as they fell to the ground and shoved it into her palm. Her own blood forming into a long, thin blade. "You can nest in HELL!" She only managed to take one step before her blade of blood shattered against a gauntlet. Adolfo stood grinning before everyone and the last of the audience was evacuated. "Awwww...is Charlly all angry? So cute...I could just tear out your organs it's so CUTE!" Charlotte took a step back...and another...and another.

 

All Shuya could do was watch. His heart fell when he saw that Charlotte's attack did absolutely nothing to the strange man. The competitor who devoured her opponents in the Carnival Corpse, Shuya's only real competition was now cornered. He was frozen out of fear and could only watch.

 

OOC: Wasn't I was the Raven?

Ezek just stood there in shock as Charlotte weapon was made in effective by another new comer to the dog race. He just couldn't wrap his head around the fact that the man stopped her attack completely without any effort at all. All he could tell was that there was something different about this guy.

 

Shuya ran over to Ezek, giving him a determined glare. "I don't think it's fair that she has all the fun, don't you?" Without waiting for a response, Shuya cut open his arms with the sharp rings on his fingers. his Branches of Sin formed, almost like daggers coming from his arms. "You man enough for it?"

 

Ezek just gave Shuya a simple smile in return before reaching down for something sharp and creating a wound on his forearms. The next thing that happened, both of his forearms became cloaked with blood, as his hands turned into medium sized claws. 'What do you think."He said before charging right towards Adolfo.

Looks like two more people decided to join in on the fun. Zero thought as he watch the other two deadmans activate their Branch of Sin. Not that it'll make much of a different.

 

Charlotte's eyes widened drastically as the man, dressed in what looked like a tattered suit with a wolf pelt drapped around his shoulders, lifted one hand and reached behind him to drag out an oversized sword. (Think Saix's beserker blade) With a twist of the handle, spikes popped out from several places. His eyes narrowed into slits and he smiled a wolfish grin. "Ready little birdies?" Charlotte barely had time to register his foot shifting before he'd moved. Flying past Charlotte, the man slammed into Ezek, tossing him dangerously close to the swinging blades of the dograce track and roundhouse kicking Shuya off the platforms and onto normal ground. Each of their Branches of sin broken. "Ah...is that it?" He turned in the blink of an eye to catch Charlotte trying to stab her Branch of Sin into his back. Her blade of blood vanished as he struck out with his gauntlet.

The man with auburn hair who'd crashed the party first withdrew his tendrils of blood and even chucked off the claws mounted on his knuckles. Instead, one from each wrist, a hidden blade (like in Assassin's Creed) slid out from under his clothes. "We can play like that...I don't suppose you'd just walk away, would you?" Adolfo licked his lips like a hungry wolf, "Nope. Time for bad children...to attend their Deadman match."

 

Shuya believed that he was done for when he was struck by the tattered man's weapon. When he notices that he was going to land on solid ground, he turned himself to land on the tips of his feet. Had he been human, the landing would have killed him. This was different though. He looked up and saw that the other two were having trouble.

"Can't keep them hanging," Shuya said to himself.

Shuya quickly decided to take a running head start to the nearest wall toward the platform. Avoiding the bullets of the guards and jumped as high as he could towards the platform again. He reached as far as he could, grabbing onto the edge of the platform.

"Dammit," Shuya groaned, trying to pull himself up.

 

As he managed to stop himself from sliding into the the spinning blades, Ezek manage to to get back on his feet before once again activating his branch of sin. "Not bad, but I'm not out of this yet." This time his blood took the for of a scythe, which he held over his head and charged. From what he could tell there was something special about his weapon, so as long as he could avoid making contact with it, he should be fine. At least that's what he thought.

 

"Hm? Tsk...how troublesome." Adolfo hefted the giant sword up and swung, creating an air current, knocking back the three of them before he turned sharply and planted his fist in Shinra's gut. Lifting the boy, he winked at Charlotte, "Ja na." He took his sweet time exiting the dog race arena.

Once Adolfo left, Charlotte dropped to her knees, "Why...why him? Dammit..." Standing she left.

Adolfo plopped Shinra down in front of Cheif Warden Nagisa, "Not so much troubling...as annoying. Boy's only a threat to the other Deadmans."

 

By the time Shuya got back on the platform, everyone seemed too have left. No winner was announced for the dog race, but that seemed to be the very least of his worries. He left back to the locker room, not even caring about the bean jam bun.
