Deadman Wonderland: Absurdity is Reality

Shuya felt that he was somewhere in the middle of the group as the dog race began. He had the stamina to easily take the lead, but Shuya wasn't stupid. In these races, one misstep would end his life. He watched as another competitor was cut in half before his very eyes. The blood splattered across his face. He continued moving through the axes, having to slide passed the last one.

 

As soon as the dog race began, Ezek just stood back for a second as he watched the first group of participates get sliced in two by the giant axes. Taking in a quick breath he ran towards the the axes, making sure not to lose his footing. He knew all to well what a mistake would mean in this race. Something that the other contestants would learn the hard way.

A pair of icy cold eyes stared at the monitor as the dog race went on. Personally her enjoyed the sight of the inmate, especially the Deadman, getting injured as possibly killed in this game. With any luck, they'll die here and save use the trouble. Zero thought. While he say that Deadman would have a higher chance surviving this with their participation in the carnival corpse, but that could also be their downfall. Depending on what they lost in the penalty game it can hinder their abilities. Either way, it's going to be a blood bath.

 

Light saw Charlotte put down the bunny. 'She's up to something... I know she is...' he thought to himself. So many people were gonna die. The winner would be either her or Shuya. He kept a close eye on Charlotte.

Bio: has lost all memories of the past, just woke up in a cell of deadman wonderland one day but has been there for about a month and already been in the carnival of corpse and lost my first matched that cost him my eye, all that I carry with me is a black necklace that has a lock pendent with a blood stain picture of a girl that I have no idea of who she is, im is very smart for my age,could hacked or make anything out scrapes, very quick on my feet and very strong, usally found alone, where no one would talk to me or even look at me as if I was just a shadow in a dark background. has a very kind heart outside of matches and willing to help anyone even if it will cost me a limb, in the matches I go into a psycho mode where I would kill the other person with out thinking but there are a times where I hesitaded killing people that were girls around my age.

Next along the path loomed an open space with several bird statues dressed in military uniforms holding crossbows. Charlotte kicked the back of one man's knees, making him fall as a wave of arrows descended upon them. She'd seen the man before...he was just a boy...poor Haru Takashi.... Pierced by several hundreds of arrows, he died in agony as only one had pierced the left side of his heart and he would bleed slowly to death with each heartbeat. Charlotte skipped along through, dodging arrows as if she were dancing. Moving through that they progressed into a set of hurdles that emitted spikes at irregular intervals. Charlotte hopped over one, her timing off by a few seconds and a spike bore into her thigh. Biting down on a scream, Charlotte smacked her palm into the back of an older man, pushing him onto the next hurdle as the spikes poked up, impaling him there. She knew him too...slow, hesitant...Kenichi Matsuda, not really a pity to see him die this way. Jumping on his back, she jumped over the remaining hurdles and darted for the end.

 

This thing is brutal, Shuya thought to himself as he looked at the bodies that were piling in front of him. He did his best to stay low as he tried to dodge the arrows. One skimmed his back, letting out a bit of blood. Even if he was allowed to use his branch of sin, it wouldn't help him much here. The same could be said for his next obstacle, as he timed each movement carefully. He was nearing the leaders, most of the other competitors dead before his very eyes. Thankfully, by the time he finished that part of the course, a blood clot had formed on his cut, stopping the bleeding.

 

Watching the arrows rain down from all side take down some of the contestant in front of him was not an easy thing to do, but Ezek had to keep his mind focus on getting through the obstacle alive. As he advanced through the arrow rain, one of them managed to graze his shoulder. Fortunately he would have to worry about his branch of sin activating since the would was on the wrong arm and it wasn't on his forearm. Ignoring the pain that came from his shoulder wound, he kept on running until he was out of the obstacle.

 

The man lazily shifted his gaze from the television to glance at Adolfo and the third Undertaker. Adolfo's sexual desire for the girl's demise was strange, but the Viper couldn't deny his own bloodlust. He opened his mouth to speak and as he did so his voice changer activated. "I can only hope for the highest death toll possible." He hissed, the voice was robotic and deep. His burning look rolled back to the television, soaking in the gruesome deaths.

 

Hearing what Viper had said Zero decided to insert his own opinion. "The death toll maybe high, but odd are that some will survive the course." He turned his attention back to the screen to monitor the runners that made it through the raining arrows. So far they were doing well, but the race isn't over yet.

 

Ken sat back and enjoyed the show as it unfolded. He had decided not to participate in the dog race because he felt that doing Carnival Corpse was bad enough, so he was content just watching. He thought about the people that died participating in the race, Well, at the very least, they don't have to suffer through the hell us Deadmen have to go through. To him, dying during the dog race was better than being forced to participate in the Loser's Game. He had a cigarette in his hand, but he hadn't lit it yet. "This is pointless." He grabbed a lighter and lit his cigarette, the smoke slowly billowing from the end. Ken knew the cigarette couldn't damage him anymore than the poison being pumped into his bloodstream.

OOC: Sorry for not posting in a long while. Just finished moving to Florida and unpacking everything.

Before Charlotte and the rest of the participants, a section of the area exploded in an overly drastic explosion. Those caught in it were blown to pieces, prompting a few cheers from the unknowing crowd. Charlotte's shoes skidded along the remaining length of the platform and she desperately hurled herself over the gap. Half landing on the other side, her fingers groped for a hold. Fingernails scratched along the ground trying to keep herself from sliding over the edge as he legs dangled helplessly over. Below her was a field of sharpened spikes. "No...I won't...fall." Despite her words, her fingers still had no grip and she slipped closer to the edge.

Adolfo's eyes gleamed with excitement as he watched people die and Charlotte slide ever closer to her own death. He leaned forwards, unbreathing, until his nose practically touched the tv screen.

 

Shuya felt very lucky when he saw the explosion happen in front of him. It confirmed the reason why he stayed in the middle of the pack the majority of the dog race. He jumped over the hole in the platform with ease, noticing that Charlotte was hanging for dear life.

"Need some help," Shuya lazily asked, turning to her. "There's no use in even winning if all the top contenders lose on simple obstacles, right?" He grabbed her arm and pulled up, hesitant, Thinking that she would probably bite him out of annoyance.

 

While the sudden explosion did surprise Ezek, it wasn't enough to cause him to lose focus. As he continued his way through the course, he spotted Shuya helping Charlotte up out of the corner of his eye. The way he saw it he had two options, turned back and help Shuya or keep running towards the goal. Might as well. He thought as he turned back and headed toward Shuya.Once there, he proceeded to grab Charlotte other free hand and pulled. "I'm not expecting a thank but I'd rather not get dragged down to my death." He said.

 

Charlotte flicked her gaze to each of them and suddenly grinned wickedly. "Never in a million years would I ask the help of two weaklings like you!" Using only her fingertips, she pushed herself up, her legs swinging over her head and smacking Shuya and Ezek in the heads with her shoes. She landed daintily between the two and took off running. For a few short seconds she ran alone, then Mytoko ran beside her. "Filthy woman." "Stupid kid." They shot at eachother.

 

Should've seen that coming. He thought, rubbing the place where Charlotte had kicked him. Ignoring any lingering pain, Ezek got up and ran through the remaining part of the of the obstacle. It didn't take long for him to start catching up to Charlotte and the other woman.

 

OOC: Sorry for the very long delay...I haven't had much inspiration lately.

Upon reaching the end, a large square platform, Charlotte and Mytoko and those who remained stood quietly until a hologram appeared before them, "AH, TOO MANY! NOW NOW, BOYS AND GIRLS, THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE WINNER. THIS FINAL CHALLENGE WILL BE YOUR LAST HERE! A NEVER ENDING BATTLE ROYALE! ALL FOR THIS!" A ball dropped down from somewhere in the ceiling. It was black and had the face of what seemed to be fanged smile with narrowed eyes. "WHOEVER IS LEFT STANDING WITH THIS BALL IN THEIR HANDS THE LONGEST...WILL BE CROWNED WINNER! READY? GO!"

Charlotte, instead of going for the ball, kicked out her foot and struck Mytoko in the gut, throwing her away from the ball. "I'm not letting you leave here alive...I don't care if I win or not..."

A malicious smile spread across a face hidden in shadows up in the ceiling. Something metal pinged on the metal rafters from the person's hands and a low chuckle emitted from a mouth that couldn't be seen.

Adolfo tossed his head back away from the screen when Charlotte saved herself, "Ahhhhh, she's not dead! Such a tricky little b*tch!" He laughed like a maniac until the Chief Warden Nagisa chucked a book at his head. "Shut up! I don't want to hear that language in front of me! You got that?!" Adolfo pouted, rubbing his head, "Touchy...touchy..."

 

Shuya was out of breath by the time they reached the end of the race. He knew that Charlotte would rather die than give up the ball, but he knew that if he at least didn't make a good show for the patrons, he would probably suffer some sort of punishment from the higher ups. They weren't allowed to use their branches of sin, making the playing field a bit more even.

Shuya ran towards Charlotte, clearly ready to clothesline her neck. He knew that she could easily dodge it, which was why he prepared himself to attack her lower back when he missed,

 

Once the fight for the ball had started, Ezek watched as the others started to fight each other, leaving him with a golden chance to head for the ball. He didn't waste anything going for the ball since at any moment the others could realize what he'd doing and try to stop him. He just had to hope that they'd be to preoccupied with fighting each other.

 

It was then, before anyone could take a single step in the direction they wanted to that a red-headed man dropped from the ceiling. He twirled in the air and slashed the ball into pieces as well as thick lines of blood wrapping around everyone's ankles and holding them aloft from the ground by their ankles. "Hellllllooooooo~! Welcome to the two-hundred and seventy-fifth anual mind-f***ing! Here to burn this night into your cerebral cortex's...is yours TRULY, Shinra Tekiyami!" The boy had metal claws on his knuckles that extened well past his fingers and blue eyes outlined in black. If it was eyeliner, no one could be sure. Getting that close to see would probably spell their deaths. The audience started to shriek as the lines of blood increased and proceeded to tear members of the dog race in half. "That's not natrual!" "I don't think he's part of the show!" "This kid isn't right...is that...blood?"

Nagisa jerked towards the tv, being the Cheif Warden, she flipped open her cell and ordered the guards to shut down the dog race and detain the boy. "Adolfo, control Shinra." Grinning, Adolfo stood, "Your wish is my command."
