so yea, like thats cool and all, but are you speaking of getting A's on a KEYBOARD...

Me and my brother actually get AA's and A's on those songs in the arcade, not some lazy dance mat at home, the ARCADE.

Sorry to be mean but, there is a massive difference between step mania, home DDR, and the arcade, and I think its important to realize the differences...

    Ummm...

Keyboards are actually MUCH better to learn how to play. You should know that, because you can't peek your technique without first learning finger menouvers on a keyboard. And it's the way you learn how to cross-dance.

And, you should know, that buy being rich and going to so many tournies, that having an actual arcade would be vital to your sucess. Instead of using a metal pad.

And I play with my keyboard 90 percent of the time, btw. And I'm not fat. I actually think step mania is better in most aspects.

I suggest you install Stepmania on your computer, to save my effort. :)

yea and guess what, we are a couple of poor kids in a 1 story house, why did I bring that up? I dunno, why did you bring up you are rich O_O

either way, Stepmania is better practice to a point, but at the end of the day, if you dont play on the arcade, it doesnt really matter ;)

Both me and my brother are around 6 feet tall, and each weight around 150-160 pounds, and play ddr mostly on the keyboard...we are such fat asses.

No offense, Xigbar, but I don't think anyone cares if you use a metal dance pad.

    -_-;

Anyway, I'm trying to get better at DDR...for some reason, I do not know.

I'm probably the worst person at this game, and would be willing to challenge anyone for said title. I have no issue with rhythm I'm just weird at the game.

Well, I guess it depends on coordination as to how you can interpret the images into your movements. I'm able to use th arcade platformed kind all the time [I hate those mats]. My uncle use to manage a Gameworks, so when they got a different version I guess he got it. I think the bar makes it significantly easier. When I started using the bar I went from B rank on Marisa Stole the Precious Thing, to S. It lets you move so much faster than standing directly on the platform alone.

On a side note: other than last year's required physical conditioning class, DDR has been my only source of exercise other than walking to classes or generally around the house or mall. X3

Xigbar: After reading that horrible concoction which you call 'typing' I think I just mentally vomited. Learn how to farking type hunt and pecker. D:

I love DDR, and I play on Heavy and Challenge and stuff.
I like playing in the arcades. The bar definetly makes it easier. And I play with the remote, too...my fingers hurt sometimes lol
I've always wanted to play Marisa Stole The Precious Thing on a DDR...

I like DDR, but I can't really say that I like it a lot since I've only been on a DDR Dancing Pad twice. I didn't got much chance cuz there were always people dancing on the machine when I was around. A whole bunch of people are always on the side watching how those dancers rock the machine. I wouldn't even dare to play and dance in front of all those people. I'm afraid they would think stuff like: "WTH is this nub doing here, playing some stupid song on easy mode!?"

Stepmania is a blessing!!! I'm addicted to Stepmania and now I am trying to conquer most songs on Oni-difficulty. I even stepped some songs of my own, but all just failed either because it was off-beat on some points or the steps weren't fun at all... :(

One downside of playing Stepmania is that everyone who sees me play says that I'm akward and don't have a life. :(
