Days at Destiny

Riku looks at Kairi and smiles. She's got everything thought out. But what if this summer doesn't turn out that way? What if we drift apart before that? What if... He focuses on his rowing as they near the shore. I can feel sorry later. I'm just going to enjoy today, for now.

 

The boat touching down at the pier. Kairi stood up and wobbled, catching her balance. "Woah." She said, losing it bit by bit. "Riiikuuu" Kairi said, finally losing control as a rogue wave bumped the boat. "AHH!" Kairi screamed as she went flying face first into the water.

 

"Kairi!" He stands in the boat, looking over the edge. She's not coming up! He dives into the water after her. After what seemed like minutes, he pulls her to the surface. He takes care to keep her head above water as he treads toward shore. He makes it to the beach and lays Kairi gently on the sand and kneels beside her. "Kairi? Kairi, are you ok?" He brushes her wet hair from her face.

OOC: Is Riku suppose to perform CPR? :D

 

(OOC: Muahaha, nah, I'll just wake her up XP)
Kairi coughs up a bit of water as she comes to. Looking up at Riku, she smiles weakly. "Th...thanks Riku. I kinda lost my balance back there huh?"

 

Yeah, and I kinda lost my wits. Riku takes a deep breath. "I'm just glad you're ok. Can you stand or do you wanna rest a bit?"

 

"Nah, I should be fine, just give me a hand up." Kairi says, grabbing onto the hand Riku offers her. Standing up, she slips because of her wet shoes, and falls onto Riku, grabbing onto him as she fell. Looking up, she looks into Riku's surprised eyes, then blushes.
(OOC: Yeah, I'm mean. I heart love triangles XDD Sorry bout the bit of godmodding Rena, but tis my rp, and I want to push a few things.)

 

OOC: im sick of triangles, we should make a circle. :D

Riku is surprised and also blushes. He helps Kairi stand and rubs the back of his head. "Not the best balancing day for you. Huh, Kairi?" he says smiling but looking away. I guess its that's good for me...

 

Kairi smiles as well, looking up to the sky. "Well, Riku, we'd best go get some food. Maybe Cid will have some towels we can borrow." Kairi said, ringing some water from her clothes. "I'm just glad I decided not to wear white today." She smiled slyly as she started walking, grabbing onto Riku to pull him along.

 

Riku turns redder than ever, happy that Kairi is too busy dragging him along. What has gotten into her? I wish I could bounce back that fast if I were to almost drown. He starts to get his color back and matches Kairi's pace.

 

"So where is Cid's place at?" Kairi said as they walked along a boardwalk. I really hope we can get something to warm ourselves up. This wind is gonna give me a-- "Ahchoo!" Kairi sneezed. "Aw, crap..."

 

Umi waves to them at shore. "Come on, keep going!" He shows them some towels. "In case anyone got wet."

 

(OOC: Zexion, we were already on the shore XP and weren't you supposed to still be on the island helping Sora make the fire?!?)
"Umi? I thought you were back at the children's island helping Sora and Ashley get the bonfire going? Don't tell me he's there all by himself!!!" Kairi said, shocked.

 

Umi shrugs. "Eh, that Ashley person seems like an experenced person who's delt with fire." He chuckles a bit and helps them get off. "Yes, I'm here all by myself. Just me............... and my wooden sword. It hits pretty hard."

 

(OOC: Does no one rp unless I'm on?!)
Kairi smiled at the playful boy, taking ahold of one of the towels he had handy. "I still don't get where you came from, but at least you had a towel handy." Kairi grabbed the other one and tossed it to Riku. "Here you go big guy, dry off." Kairi smiled at him, then looked around. "So which way to Cid's?"
(OOC: While Kairi is grateful Umi had towels, please try to not appear randomnly or generate random items. I want this to be realistic, so you need to show yourself walking somewhere, and you need to explain where the items came from. Don't just appear where you want to be DX. Show how you got there. thank you for listening to this in what is becoming a long list of rants by me O_O)

 

yuffie had finally gotten out of detention for shooting spitballs in class.
" Finally, it's about time i got out of school and on to vacation!yuffie had said so relieved. "I,think i might go to the island and see if anyones there."suggested yuffie to herself. Later on she saw a boat on the docks so she hopped in and was on her way to the island.

Sora looks at the fire and starts to wonder. "I hope they're doing okay..... and that Kairi doesn't forget about my M&M's. I'll cry if she forgets...."

 

OOC- I was going to mention in my next post that Umi is soaking wet and that he sprinted home to get towels.

Umi wipes off the seawater with a third towel. "Ya know, I'm gonna need those back once you're done." He also takes off his shoes and pours out the sand. "I swam here and ran home as fast as I could to get those towels." He gets out a piece of paper. "Erm, I have a day job and I was supposed to give Cid a package anyway." Umi bends down and picks up the package. "This way, unless you wanna lead."

 

OOC: hehe! bro misspelled sorry. :D

Riku caught the towel Kairi threw to him. Big guy...? "Cid's is a couple blocks that way," he pointed with one hand while using the other to dry himself with the towel. "I think we'll be dry enough when we get there."

Kairi followed behind the two boys, both competing for who was leading. Silly boys. Kairi sighs, as she continues to dry herself off. I wonder what Riku was thinking about when I said I was glad I didn't wear white... Kairi smiled slyly to herself, and tried to dry out her hair. I wonder how Sora is doing back on the island...now what candy was it he wanted me to get again?
