Dawn of the Samurai

Kaia entered her village, smiling. She heard Maiko said before she left, 'I know.....' She walked to the elders' hut.

 

Maiko walked up to him and hugged him. "You will be fine and you will live a wonderful life with lots achieved."

 

Kaia bowed and sat in front of the elder. "Elder of Hidden Lion Village. Hello."

"Kaia, great to see you." The elder bowed back at her. "Ready for your Trail?"

"Yes." Kaia closed her eyes, hoping her trail wouldn't be hard.

 

"Thank you." Koza said silently.

 

"Tell me about what happened to you before the bad things happened. I want to know the happy you."

 

Kaia stood in her old home, she looked around.

"Well, that's my useless daughter." Her father appeared in front of her.

"Father, is that you?"

"Who else, you half-hunter? Can you even fall in love with a non hunter?!"

"Mother wasn't a hunter, but you loved her!"

"Your mother was killed as soon as Yuki was born, she called you her 'little Kyo."

Kaia took out her sword and sliced through her father's image. She opened her eyes and bowed at the elder again.

 

"I enjoyed a life of nobility. I had many friends that I would play games with and at one time, even fell in love with someone."

 

"A romance, please tell me more. I can't imagine you as a spoilt noble. I'd love to hear more if you will tell me."

 

"There's not really much to tell. We were deeply in love and got engaged. I saw her again after I broke out of prison, but I found out something about her I wish that I hadn't..."

 

"What was that? It must have been bad as you sound so sad. If someone loved me like that I would wait for him and be there for him."

 

"I found out that she had become a bounty hunter. She had come looking to collect the bounty on my head."

 

Kaia took off her kimono and the top of her bounty hunter outfit, holding out her arms. Someone painted a dragon with a white wing of skin of red, blue, and green. On her left arm was the same dragon, but with skin of black, gray, and sliver. A large dragon of all six colors, with the wings on its back. Kaia bowed at the elder and ran back to Koza and Maiko. "Hey!"

 

"Then she was going to betray your love? That is terrible. If I had been her I would have protected you. Love is supposed conquer everything and be beyond such things. I'm so sorry."

 

Kaia thought about her trail, her mother was a clan of demon trainers, but her father was deeply love in her. After Yuki was born, her mother died.

 

"It's always been said that money is the root of all evil. Greed can make us do things that we normally wouldn't do."

 

"That is true, but real love is bigger than that. I want you to realise that not everyone is like that. Not everyone betrays for money."

 

"I know that. It just showed me that she really didn't love me as much as I thought she did."

 

Maiko took his hand and squeezed it. "You will find someone better you know. You have had so much bad luck that you are due some good luck to balance it out."

 

"Lord knows some balance in my life is long overdue."

 

"You will find it because you deserve it and there is always a balance in life. Perhaps you have not been looking in the right places. You will get your reward for your patience."
