"This time, they aren't keeping me in here."

Koza pulled a couple of needles from under his skin and picked the lock to his cell. He picked the locks of the other cells, except for Takahiro's, and opened the doors.

"Let's get going, Maiko. If you really want to die, I can think of better places than a dank prison."

 

"Why have you left Takahiro? Are you betraying him again? I will stay I think as there is nothing for me out there. At least here I know my fate."

 

"I left him in there because I didn't know if you wanted me to let him out or not. He says he still loves you, so I'll let him out if you say so. I wouldn't have bothered to break out, but I'm practicing something you taught me when we first met."

 

"And that is? It seems a lifetime ago. Perhaps I can learn to forgive and forget, though I will be wary of you. Never leave me out of anything ever again."

 

"I promise. Besides, it was Takahiro's idea to leave you clueless, not mine. I wanted you to know. Do you want me to let him out of his cell or not, because once we leave this block, we're not coming back."

ooc: Note that if you say yes, you're going back to controling him.

 

"Please let him go. I guess he thought he could protect me as I would be innocent. I may learn to trust him again."

 

"Okay, whatever you say."

Koza picked the lock to Takahiro's cell and opened the door.

 

Takahiro ran out and hugged Maiko "I'm so sorry. I should have told you."

Maiko glared at him. "We don't have time for that. Come on!"

 

Koza knocked out the guards outside the cell block and grabbed everyone's weapons.

"We don't have much time, so let's move."

 

Maiko grabbed a sword and followed him. She just wanted to get away now and hide somewhere. Takahiro ran at her side, sword ready.

 

Koza disarmed guards along the way and knocked them out. After some time, they finally made it out of Hellena.

"Follow me. There's a plantation that's loyal to the Ishida clan close by. We can hide out there."

 

"Well I truly am an Ishida member it seems. Come on Takahiro. You can earn my trust like the others."

"I will make everything up to you somehow."

 

"Let's not worry about that now. All the events point to one source, the Hogyoku. We'll need to disguise ourselves well and dig up any information that we can find on them."

 

"It's all your fault. I had a quiet life as a farm worker before."

 

"You think that if I hadn't have met you, you would still be safe? From the little I've seen of this organization, they would have found you eventually and you would be on the run, just as we are now. So get over it."

 

"Oh forget it. I'd rather die now than put up with your self righteous bull any more. No one knew who I was then, including me. Get over yourself. You are not so important that everyone has to sacrifice their lives for you all the time."

 

"Just forget what I said. Let's just go to the plantation for now. We can figute out what to do then."

 

Takahiro took her hand and she shook his away violently. "Just leave me alone all of you."

"As you wish."

 

Koza led everyone to the plantation. The workers recognized Koza and hid everyone in the barn.

"They'll be back with some food shortly." Koza said as he sat down.

 

Maiko curled up in the corner, saying nothing. She just stared at her feet.

"I think we should try to make her feel better. She has been through a lot."
