"You don't even have anything that your parents might have given you to remember them by?"

 

"Yes, scars where they beat me. Now leave me alone."

 

"Then how about a dragon mark?"

ooc: Just go along with it, I've got a little back story going in my head. Please?

 

"I have a birth mark a bit like a dragon. Do you mean that? Have you been spying on me? Ewww!"

 

"So I was right." Koza rolled up the sleeve of his robe, revealing a dragon birthmark on his shoulder. "You truly are my sister. Now I know what my parents were telling me was true."

 

"If you are my brother then how come I don't remember you? I remember being beaten a lot and worked like a servant. Is that what happened to you?"

 

"No. Before we were born, our mother and father were being hunted by Uzuki. After our birth, mother anf father decided that they wanted one of us to live on in case they were caught. They left you in a nearby village while they carried me and were still being persued. Eventually the hunters stopped coming and they were able to settle down and eventually the Ishida clan became one of nobility. I never believed them when they told me about you, but you were spared the fate that befell them and me by their act. But because of them, you had to endure a harsh life, and for that I am truly sorry. You can choose whether to believe me or not, the the proof is undeniable."

 

"So I really was right. I was unwanted then and I am now. Even my family betrayed me and left me with a cruel couple. Why should I accept you now? You have had everything I didn't. Want to see the scars? Will that make it real for you?"

 

"No you don't have to show me. Still, had they not have done what they did, you would have ended up dead, or framed for murder like I was. The fact of the matter is that I am the only blood relative you have, but whether you accept me or not is totally your decision."

 

"You have still lied to me and deceived me. I never knew I had a brother by blood. Why didn't you tell me all this when we first met? I don't trust anyone now. Did you expect flowers and warm reunited scenes?"

 

"I didn't think it was true until now. I didn't even know you had the birthmark until you just told me. If I knew sooner, I would have went looking for you. I don't expect you to trust me, though. I know I'll have to earn it."

 

"Somehow I don't quite believe you. Why ask if you didn't know. Nothing adds up and yes, you will have to earn the trust you have now destroyed. I want to go home and leave this all behind me. I've been treated like a fool by you all. Takahiro can disappear as well for all I care."

 

"I don't think there's going to be any home for you for a while. The man who attacked you had attacked me the night before. I assume that he was with this 'Hogyoku' that Uzuki had mentioned before he took his final breaths. I'm afraid you're stuck with me for a while as they'll be hunting all of us now."

 

"You assume that I want to live? Would you after learning that everyone has stabbed you in the back? I want to die, I will be free then."

 

"Free of what? Free of pain and suffering? If it were that easy, I would have killed myself nine years ago!"

 

"The pain, the lies and the loneliness. Just leave me now. Haven't you destroyed my life enough."

 

"I wish I could, but I can't."

Everyone was surrounded by the emperor's personal guard. They were soon taken to the inperial prison 'Hellena' to await their execution for the crime of killing minister Uzuki.

 

Maiko went willingly with the guards. She welcomed the execution. Her entire world had been ripped apart by lies and deceit. Unable to cope she just followed mutely.

 

Koza sat in his cell. He noticed some marks on the wall, reading 'Koza Ishida was here' with nine tick marks beside it.

"Oh joy, they had the insight to put me back in my old cell." He said sarcastically.

 

Maiko sat and stared at the wall. She didn't eat or drink. Suddenly there seemed no point. Tears rolled down her face as she realised that her life was destroyed and she would never find the happiness she craved so much.
