"I just don't get how to make you happier. Will you always be this stern around me?"

 

"No, I just like giving you a hard time."

 

"Well I guess you like me as a friend as you are teasing me. It would be nice to see you happy in the future."

 

Kaia followed them, but she didn't talk at all. 'Maybe Father was right, how I can ever love a non hunter? They look great together.'

 

Maiko thought about how she could get Kaia and Koza together. Even their names fitted together. She believed that they would suit each other temperament-wise as well.

 

"Maybe I should show you my dragon." She took off her kimono and the top of her bounty hunter outfit, and turned around to show them the dragons on her arms and her back.

 

"Well, it's very colorful to say the least."

 

"Usually, it's like that. A dragon on one arm is three colors. On the other arm, three other colors. On the back it's a dragon of the two on the arms." Kaia put her bounty hunter outfit back on and her kimono on.

 

"I hope my image change works."

 

Maiko slowed so that she was walking behind them. She felt like she was in the way. They didn't really need her there.

 

"What're you slowing down for, sis?"

 

Kaia watched them, and sighed. 'Maybe I should tell them.....'

 

"I'm just a little tired, thats all." She looked at the floor and avoided his eyes. "I'll catch up so don't worry."

 

Kaia felt something behind her, slowly, she walked from them to find out who it was.

 

"If you're that tired, I'll just have to carry you."

Koza picked Maiko up and started carrying her.

 

Maiko followed, ready with her staff. She wanted to help the best she could.

 

"Who's there?!" she shouted. Coming out of the brushes, was a girl. She had dark brown hair, like her, and light green eyes. In fact, she looked so much like Kaia, but she had cat ears on her head. "Neka?"

Neka smiled as she looked up at Kaia. "Onee-chan!" She hugged her.

 

Maiko relaxed and stepped back. She felt more out of place than ever.

 

"How....curious. Are those ears real?"

 

Maiko stepped away from him. He had tried to pick her up. Either he was totally unable to see through what she said or he was laughing at her again. She wasn't sure which.
