Yeah, we tend to have database errors (DBEs) from time to time.
Sometimes they're bad like that, other times they're short. This one happened to be rather long. >>

 

It happens from time to time, should be fixed for now. We apologize during these server woes lately.

 

They can appear randomly but that one wasn't very bad in comparison to some others in the past. If any more show up, just remember that this forum is on a shared server, and their traffic is always a factor in these things.

 

Was I the only one that didn't have a database error at the time?

 

Uh how many hours difference from central time is that?

 

I believe that CDT is two hours ahead of PDT.

 

Oh. Yeah I was unable to view the forum between those times.

Please post here whenever you experience downtimes (if it's ok with staff) for statistical purposes.

 

Yesterday I had some DBE's they weren't long but there were quite a few of them.

 

We're looking into this problem, the one today was caused by something we're currently looking into at the moment. Bear with us while we work on this.

 

am I the only one that got a huge honkin database error earlier?

 

I stayed away for almost 2 hours.

Is everything fixed now or should I go away again? =P

 

I wouldn't say that everything is "fixed" but the site is back up for now, we are still on the same server so I can't promise the DBEs won't return. Today's DBE was something else though, which we are looking into and fixing.

Something to note.

On a few of the database errors that we had earlier, we could still view the forum and all its sub-forums, but we'd get database errors if we tried to do any type of posting, such as reply to a post, or view a user's profile.

 

Were these in the past few hours (two to three), or earlier today?
