Ooc: i should force her to make an account on here lol. but so as not to get off topic.

Sebastian went about his daily routine of cleaning the house and tending to the gardens. It got rather dull after a while but he kept at it. While in the kitchen, he prepared some tea for his master who still hadn't returned. "I woonder what's keeping him..." Sebastian whispered to himself. Just then the maid burst in carrying a tray with plates of food on top and slipped, causing them to go flying into the air. With lightning reflexes, Sebastian caught all the plates, one in each hand, one on each forearm, one balancing pn his forehead, and one on his foot. All the while not a single bite of food hit the ground.

    Name: Karasu Blacksword

    Age: 19

    Gender: Male

    Country: Erio

    Faction: Magic Swordsman

    Types of Spells: Wind, Holy

Appearance: 6'2"; slender. Karasu appears as a long whited-haired youth with grey skin and glowing green eyes (which have slitted pupils). He wears a black mask that covers the lower half of his face (covering his nose, down) and it connects to the collar of his black, long-sleeved shirt. He wears black cotton pants and black combat boots, along with elbow-length leather gloves. Over this, he wears a black duster (which appears to be in tatters) and atop his head, he wears an old tattered wizard's hat whose cone is crooked. It's covered in mismatched patches.

Face without mask (imagine the grey skin and glowing green eyes)

Personality: Unlike the norm, Karasu appears to be courteous and polite. Outwardly, the youth tends to be lazy, clumsy, and even goofy. On the inside, he feels cold and empty... ultimately, he's lonely. Despite his true emotions, he tries his best to help people and to be there for them (though he will admit he hates them all for isolating him due to his birth defect). Karasu doesn't want to be like everyone else, who pick and choose who to help and whether or not to manipulate those he helps. He dislikes people who use others and throws them away, he dislikes people murdering out of rage or simple joy (in fact, he does not like murderers, no matter the purpose), and he ultimately dislikes killing (though he will if he ABSOLUTELY has to). Karasu, nevertheless, is genuine in his courtesy and tends to assisting those who truly need it, making him a generous sort of person. To this end, he often doesn't eat and drink for days because he cares more about the well-being of others than himself. Not to say that he isn't unhealthy. For when he does eat, he eats enough to feed a family of six. Despite his two opposing feelings of conscious philanthropy and subconscious misanthropy, Karasu is prone to some mischief for the sake of his own amusement. This gives him an edge in fighting, too, for it shows he is capable of improvising.

    Weapon(s): Katana

Bio: Karasu was born with a mutation caused by prenatal magical exposure while he was still within the womb of his mother. His father, a white mage, witnessed the child dying due to being underdeveloped during the incubating process. He attempted, for the sake of his wife and the son's future mother, magical augmentation. This exposure gave Karasu his grey skin, the abnormal white hair, and those alien eyes. After being born, the mother died due to a strange illness (though it was thought, and still theorized, to have been an infection after the child was out of the womb). Born motherless and having a father who was repulsed at the sight of his strange son, Karasu was an outcast amongst the people of Erios. At a young age, Karasu had a natural talent for magic; especially Wind magic. However, no one was willing to teach him.

Nevertheless, Karasu was a mischievous sort. He would often play pranks to be noticed, and even desired to be accepted for his sense of humor. However, this just made people ignore him more while his own father, ashamed to have spawned such a "creature", verbally abused him. The words stung Karasu, making him hurt more to not even gain the love of his own father... his only family. As this continued, Karasu was banished from his own house. He was twelve at the time. Karasu, abandoned and disowned by his own father, decided to leave his little town in search for acceptance.

It didn't take Karasu long to succumb to thirst and hunger as he was far away from the nearest town, deep within a wooded landscape. To his own luck, however, a lone man (out hunting) found him. He was a gruff old man, burly and stout, whose eyes gleamed with dislike for anyone in general. Karasu felt happy at that look, for it was a look of equality amongst others. However, the cynical old man wasn't cruel. The man had a heart and he had taken the young lad in. There, Karasu ate and drank and slept... granted, he slept on the cold floor of a small wooden cottage.

The next day, Karasu awoke at the gruff voice of the old man. "Wake up, ye brat," the man demanded. "Either ye get yerself movin' or work fer yer lodgin'." He threw a broom at the boy. Karasu, not wanting to be alone, chose to stay and work (much to the old man's surprise). Karasu worked for the old man for a year, and the old man got fed up with the youth's presence. "I want ye out of me home. So prepare fer tomorrow, I'm gonna teach ye how to fend fer yerself." And so he did. To Karasu's surprise, the old man was once a soldier... or, more precisely, a magical swordsman of the Erio military. The retired old man trained Karasu to the point he couldn't move, and even mentally pushed the lad to ignore the body's pain. Karasu wasn't very adept at many forms of magic, so he excelled greatly in Wind and, to his surprise, Holy. However, his training in magic was primarily offense-defense based, while support was only secondary. Due to this, he had mild healing ability but was capable enough to fend off almost anyone. His physical capability of fighting, however,

Two years after the training the old man fell ill and Karasu tended to his master. Despite his training in the arts of Holy magic, he was unable to save the elderly old man from his inevitable doom. Before he died, however, the old man gave Karasu the katana that was within his own personal cache of weapons. It was Karasu's favorite, and the old man called it a "pansy's sword, at best." Karasu wept the hours away at the old man's death. For the next year, he trained and lived in the lodge, often visiting the old man's grave. When he was seventeen, Karasu reluctantly left the cottage and ventured away, traveling Erio for its sights and to find work. More often than not, he worked as a handyman. There were some occasions where he got work as a bodyguard, and very rarely did he ever fight. Even more rarely did he kill, and often got more money from bounty-hunting (sometimes during another job). In the end, he had money to eat, to give, and to buy a new set of clothes. But this was only the beginning of his adventure.

Other: Karasu is "Raven" in Japanese. Karasu deeply cares for his katana, and tends to it often.

Karasu wandered around Erio's capital, back hunched and himself trudging. His eyes drooped in misery and his grey skin paled. This youth, only nineteen years, was tall and slender, wearing the most outlandish clothes. It began with a mask that covered the lower-half of his face, which was connected to his black shirt. He wore black pants and black leathern boots and gloves, a long black duster, and a black wizard's hat whose cone was incredibly crooked. It was an old hat, too, for it was dirty and had many multi-colored patches. At his right hip, there was a katana which rested in a black scabbard. However, what made him more alien was his grey skin, glowing green eyes with slitted pupils, and his long white hair. He appeared dangerous.

A sound filled the air, like a dying turtle. It was abnormally loud, and if anyone bothered to turn and look for the sound's source, they would find that it was Karasu Blacksword. Or, more specifically, it was his stomach. "Uuuuuugh..." he groaned, moving zombie-like from his hunger. "I need fooooooood... no more orphans..." Karasu whined, looking for the nearest restaurant. "A diner would be nice... or a simple cafe will do..." he continued miserably. The swordsman stopped and looked around. The gears in his hunger-filled head began to turn. Finally, he noticed something peculiar.

    "I'm lost!" He cried out.

Lief sat up in bed, feeling a twinge of pain in his stomach, "I suppose I owe Kallahi a friendly hello...from my fist... Jerks..."

Ciel held his head in his hands as he sat with King Elstelz in his smallish palace, "Their building a giant magic engine? The last time Erios tried to build one, it almost created a meteor that would've crashed into the Lost City's ruins..." "Yes, Kallahi is unpredictable with this. I'd like to ask you to take the group you have and go to Kallahi and investigate the magic engine. If it's stabel or not and even their motives. Ciel...you of all people understand magic energy better than most. Especially those from Amittai. I can't ask them to go into this if they don't know what they're looking for."

    Erios

Mikatsu ducked out of her conversation with Fiona. The girl was ever changing her mind about people. Pulling out of the crowd, Mikatsu pulled her red hood over her white hair and kept her red eyes downwards as she bumped into a boy saying he was lost. "If you're lost I could help."

Karasu fell on his rump at the collision. He was too hungry to be sturdy. The youth looked up from the ground and smiled, though his mask hid it. "Oh," he began. "I'm sorry. I was looking for a place to eat. I haven't eaten in three days, you see." Right on queue, his stomach growled. "See? Anywho, would you mind pointing me into the right direction?" Wearily, he lifted himself from the ground and stared patiently at the girl. Karasu's stomach did not agree with his eyes, however, as it growled again.

Advent tried fixing his hair after the Doctor had ruffled it but to no avail. He couldn't help but let a smile flicker for a moment on his face. 'Maybe the attention isn't too bad.' He took the small pearl into one hand and turned it over, holding it up to the artificial light. "You never cease to amaze." He commented before carefully placing the orb in his pocket. He wanted to keep it close in case such a thing was necessary to use.

"Magic sealer? Now that'll really come in handy." Advent leaned closer, getting a better look at the knife's blade. "I think we've hung around long enough, right Crim?"

Cooke smiled proudly and placed an unlit cigarette in her mouth. "Leaving so soon? Awww, okay, be careful puppies." Cooke was a robust woman and as she wrapped her arms around Advent and squished him to her in a hug, she whispered in his ear, "You be careful of monsters on your way. Lot of creatures in the world that adapted to magic energy." Releasing him, she hugged Crimson as Max waved goodbye with a blank stare.

Crimson rolled his eyes and pushed Advent out of the labs. "I'm ready, I'm ready. Let's go already. I want to get moving before she changes her mind and straps you down to a table." The barely stifled snicker after his words would've gotten him slapped for his perverted thinking. "Man...I knew you loved being her favorite. But...she's a bit old for you, isn't she?"

    Erios

Mikatsu giggled and finally met his eyes. Red met green and she allowed a small smile to cross her lips. "That's fine. I can take you somewhere nice. Erios' capital may be large, but it seems small to someone who's lived here for a long time. I know the best place." Scurrying away, Mikatsu glanced behind her and waved for him to follow. She slid into the crowd and reappeared on the other side of the street, waving to him. Behind her a resturant stood tall, displaying fine cakes and muffins in the window. She pointed to a large sign showing the specials for dinner. A variety of food that would even have vegans craving meat.

Karasu listened and smiled as he gazed into her eyes. When she finished, before he could reply, Mikatsu ran off. The youth followed her, but she proved to be the faster. As he emerged from the crowd, she was in front of a restaurant. Karasu practically drooled as he looked at the sign and hurried his way towards the door. He paused and half-turned. "Would you like to have dinner with me?" He asked, smiling again. His stomach growled defiantly at the hesitation. "It would be a shame not to return your kindness."

"Don't worry-" Was all Advent managed to say before Crimson had begun pushing him out the door. He looked over his shoulder and waited until he was sure they were out of earshot before replying to Crimson. Advent scratched the back of his head and looked off to side, slightly embarrassed. "I'm not what you'd call a child you know." Advent growled. "Besides, she's not that much older than me." He added in lowly. "...Anyways..." He picked up his pace and looked over his shoulder again. "Let's just get outta here before you make me change my mind." Once more he picked up his pace going into a slight jog.

Mikatsu's smile faded, "I'm so sorry...I fear, I have no money to pay for myself. For I, even though I'm no ashamed of it, am an orphan without a job currently. But, Viceroy Shera said General Kakanas might be putting out a bill for finding the High Priest." She grinned and seet her hands on the window, practically drooling at the sight of a layered chocolate and vanilla cake.

    Kallahi

Crimson gawked at him, "Are you for real? Doctor Crescent is...well true, she's not that much older than you...but still...AH, she's the Doctor! Dude, she did surgery on you! Cut you open and inserted magic energy into your body!" Crimson chased after him like a restless puppy. "Hey, if you really want...no, I'm not even going there." Crimson hung his head in defeat, "Change your mind? You mean you want to stay here with Cooke and Doctor Silent?"

Karasu laughed and shook his head. "Your life as an orphan seems to have been a sheltered one," he remarked. "I'm willing to pay for you. It's my way of saying thank you properly." Karasu offered Mikatsu his hand, a friendly gesture, as he half opened the door with his other hand. "Besides, it would be nice to have someone to talk to while I eat. It's been a while since I even spoke to anyone in a friendly manner."

Finding nothing to do in Amittai, Shane quickly decided to leave town. The only probelm was he had no idea where to go. Well there's always Kallahi. He thought to himself as he started to leave.

Mikatsu smiled, her red eyes glowing with gratitude. "Um, okay. Thank you." She didn't take his hand, and barely brushed him as she slid past him inside. "You must be new in town. Most people wouldn't ask me to have dinner with them."

    Kallahi

King Elstelz felt a brief moment of foreboding and a shiver of dread. "Ciel...perhaps it's best you leave under the cover of night. While there is still daylight, you should head out. I know the Ilipson Mountains have several threats in the day, and far many more at night, but you'll make good time if you go now."
Ciel nodded, "Perhaps you're right. Everyone does seem to be rather anxious. And our journey is long. I'll see you in a few days. If we ever return." He didn't mean it quite so darkly as he left and whistled outside for the little twin witches and Lief to hurry up.
Lief pulled himself out of bed and dressed in his normal red armor. Strapping his sword to his hip, "Time to move. It's about time. Wounded or not, I'm going and I'm going to prove Amittai is innocent in Erios and Kallahi's foolish feud."

Karasu's hand went limp as he followed her inside, listening to her appreciation. However, as she told him about the neglect she received, he felt sympathy for her. It was the same for him. People averted him at every chance they had, ever since he was a child. The people who required work normally left him alone, paid him, but otherwise ignored his existence. His grey and slitted, glowing green eyes was the source of their disgust. However, Karasu pushed those memories and thoughts away. "You're welcome," he told her, his voice more gentler. This was an unconscious action on his part. "I don't see why people wouldn't treat you to dinner. It's odd. There's not a thing wrong with you." Karasu added, revealing his confusion towards her remark.

Mikatsu smiled and sat at a booth near the back. "Yeah...you can't notice it unless someone told you or you're a rather powerful mage. I'm a Composite Mage. Our magic is feared as untamed and wild. There's...a part of it that I can't completely control. Other than that...it's all about status. People think I'm from Kallahi because of my eyes. Which is why they hate me at first glance." She leaned forward and blew out the candle on the table. "See?" touching her finger to it, the flame re-lit and the rest of the candles on the other tables burned brighter and hotter. Everyone leaned away from their candles and cast a wary glance around.

Karasu sat across from her, listening to her story. His brow arched as she explained she was a composite mage and how her eyes gave her a Kallahian appearance. He kept quiet, however, until after she showed him an example. Karasu even turned to look at everyone else and laughed. "That's a good prank to play, from time to time." He jest, turning to meet her crimson eyes again. A spark of remembrance flashed across his mind as he realized he forgot something relatively important. "Oh, I forgot to ask for your name. It's so rude of me not to ask my guest for her name." He remarked. His stomach growled again and he sunk further into his seat.
