Dark Descent: Project G

When Shane had arrived to where the other soilders where. "Wicthes, that young." He said under his breath. "If they want to help out, then I say let them."

 

Amittai​

The soldier with the gun fell, dead to the ground, and King Elstelz rammed the hilt of the sword into another soldier's helmet and through another's on the pull back of his swing. "Protect the wounded! Defend Amittai!" he shouted and the remaining knights piled into the fray with the so-called Erian soldiers.
Lief felt the bullet fly through him and the intense burning sensation overcame him. Shot by an Erian soldier? Erios didn't use guns at all. They considered them foul things...only magic and swords were their weapons of choice.

Erios​

Ciel turned and glared at Shane, "No one's asking you, soldier! Children aren't allowed on the battlefield! Not in my lifetime!" He felt his anger taking hold of him and his voice reverberated with rage. He glared down at the twins, though his blue eyes were gentle for their sake, "Go back into the city and stay there. I'm sure someone will look after you."

Mikatsu blinked twice to come out of her trance and stared up at the sky. She overheard Fiona asking people about Amittai. A small smile tweaked her lips and she pulled her red cloak up over her white hair, "Amittai is falsely accused of assisting Kallahi in the capture of our High Priest. Currently, though it's been announced that we're attacking...soldiers are already there... Whether they are Erian or not, no one knows...if you wish to know... Finding General Kakanas would be best. But it seems he's not here either...strange." she spoke aloud, though not really facing Fiona. Instead she faced the direction of Amittai.

Kallahi​

Crimson snorted and led the way down from the level the Crescent doctors held as their home and office and into the basement to find their Beta Gaia Commander, a large man who oversaw what Cooke and Max wanted them to be trained in. "Crimson of Beta Gaia Unit Two reporting, SIR! Requesting permission to be allowed to accompany those who will be going to prove our country innocent of crimes, SIR!" He kept his eyes forward and heels together, just as taught. Though Advent, he thought, hadn't been given a Unit number since he was with the doctors so much instead of combat. The Commander glared down at Crimson and Advent with dark brown lupine eyes and nodded curtly, "I suppose Advent wants to go as well. Very well, Advent, if Dr. Crescent says it's alright, you're free to accompany Crimson."

 

~Ammitai~​

Laetitia noticed that the man who had been shot was breathing heavily. Wait... Then he's still alive! "Are you alright?" She asked. Idiot! she thought. He's been shot! Of course he's not alright! What kind of question is that? She turned as an "Erian" soldier ran at her, and blocked his attacks with her arm gaurds, then hit him in the face, knocking him out.

~Erio~​

Perpetua sighed. "Alright," she said. "I understand." Then, turning and running again through the crowds, Theodora chuckled. "Which one?" she asked quietly. "It doesn't matter," Perpetua laughed. "We need to go help, we just need to find a good hiding spot." They ran towards one of the transports, and then slipped on unnoticed. Their small size made it easy for them to hide, and then they also focused their magic to make themselves blurry and hard to spot. No one was able to look straight at them. "Alright, we're on our way." "Let's go fight the enemy," "And heal the hurting."

 

Verdelet sat there, watching the scene unfold. They're not Erian. Erian soldiers aren't issued guns and even if they were, wouldn't use them. Plus none of them are using magic. Which would make them Kallian. he whispered to himself. If we are going to attack, i better clear out these vermin first. He said, standing to his feet. To create the distraction he needed to approach, he cast a spell to make the wind raise the gun that the soldier had dropped over the crowd. He wasn't all that good with wind spells, but this was manageable. As soon as it was over them, he shot a bolt of lightning from his fingertips at it, Which ignited the gunpowder inside, causing an explosion.

Fiona turned to the girl that had spoken. "So it could be a trap?" She said as a worried expression took over her face.

 

James took a few steps back from the crowd, again gauging his distance. With any luck, they won't know where i am he thought calmly, knocking another arrow and firing it at yet another soldier. He put a hand up to his quiver, trying to figure out how many arrows he had left. Three arrows and then i'm down to my daggers..damnit i really need to carry more arrows with me! he thought. He fired another arrow off into the fray, now with only two arrows left.

 

Amittai​

Lief groaned and panted through his pain, "Th-the King...Protect...King El-Elstelz."

Elstelz ripped through several of the soldiers and ran to aid the rest of his men still standing.

Soldiers fell from the explosion but so did Amittai's King. Elstelz dropped to his knees, his ears ringing, "M-magic...Lief! Lief!" he called for a soldier that couldn't move at the moment.

Erios​

Mikatsu nodded, "It would appear that way. But boarding a transport would be foolish. The soliders they've sent can handle what a mage cannot. And Amittai has it's own military faction of knights and archers."

Kallahi​

The commander lifted his fierce gaze, "You'll board the next train to the Ipsion Mountains tomorrow. People from each country will be going too. You'll have to keep your mouths shut and your ears open for information they may spill carelessly."

 

~Ammitai~​

Laetitia looked at the man, and then at the king. She had to make a decision, she had to protect one, she could not protect both. What do I do? she thought in her panic. If only her master were here, he could protect the king and she could stay at her place and gaurd the fallen soilder. But her master was not here, so she turned once more to the soldier. "Just try and breathe as best you can, I shall try to- no, I shall return." Then she ran towards the king, picking up her dropped sword as she ran. She stopped in front of the king, sword upheld, ready to defend him from any attacks.

 

The explosion was fairly and wouldn't permanently injure anyone but those directly beneath it, which were only enemy soldiers anyway, but it created the hysteria he needed to advance unhindered by archers or gunners. Verdelet bolted into the crowd and cast a spell similar to that which had granted him wings, only the shadow formed a long steel-like blade on the end of his staff which, with this new addition, resembled a scythe. He cleaved through the outer soldiers as he made his way towards the center. One soldier charged and attempted to engage him in hand to hand combat. This was a costly mistake. He threw a punch which Verdelet caught and with his free hand, grabbed the soldier's head and let out a burst of fire similar to what a blowtorch would. He screamed in pain as it charred his face black. Verdelet kept this up until his opponent lay dead on the ground. This act of brutality stroke fear into the hearts of the observing soldiers. To die was one thing, but that was an agonizing way to go. Nearly all their knees shook. Some were frozen in place, wanting to run away. Others bravely advanced on their foes, mostly heading toward the knights of Amittai.

"But i have to do something!" Fiona nearly shouted. "He could be walking into a trap!" She was trying to decide whether to take the girls advice and just hope he came back or go and try to help him.

 

Erios​

Mikatsu shrugged and spotted Ciel entering the city. "Ciel! Aren't you going with them?"

Ciel smiled gently and patted the young mage's head. "Not this time, Mikatsu. I see no need for me to. The soldiers will take care of it and Amittai's King is more than capable of defending his nation. Oh, Fiona, not a surprise to see you here." He smiled gently and plucked a flower out of the air, offering it to Fiona.

 

Fiona was slightly suprised to see her old master here. "Master Ciel! Its been a while." She then gently took the flower from his hand."Thank you. Oh!" She Exclaimed as something occured to her. "Could you please go to Amattai and check on Verdelet? He could be walking right into a trap."

 

Erios​

Ciel frowned for a moment and sighed, "Very well. I'll be back soon." He huffed in exasperation as he walked away, She cares about him...she fancies that mage... I suppose in order to keep her happy, Amittai is my next stop.

 

~Ammitai~​

Laetitia looked on as the man advanced on the golden-clad soldiers, using magic to Fight them. Wait... but, he's Erian. Why would he attack his own people? Unless... I understand, they weren't Erian at all! Yes, Erian's don't use guns, and these soldiers didn't have any magic! How did I not see that sooner? So these soldiers must be from Kallahi! But she didn't have much time to dwell upon her discovery, the soldiers were running towards her and the remaining knights. She waited perfectly still until one of them got close enough for her sword to reach. With a yell, she swung her sword and penetrated the gold armor in it's weakest spot: under the helmet, right above the shoulder, where the only protection was a bit of chainmail. The chainmail broke with a satisfying clink and the head of the soldier went rolling to the ground. Suddenly, Laetitia felt sick. She had done this plenty of times before, but that was always on a training dummy. Now she had killed someone. But she didn't have any time to regret her actions, more soldiers were rushing towards them. She didn't want to hurt anyone further, but she was past the point of no return. She must fight.

 

James couldn't help but notice one very sick looking individual, standing in front of the king and looking as though she had just caused the end of the world. He ran over to her, ducking and dodging the attacks. He stopped next to her, gesturing to show her he meant no harm. He raised his bow and fired another two arrows into the fray, and then reached for another. His quiver was empty. He cursed himself for not having more arrows prepared. That will be fixed later he thought. He placed his bow down on the ground and next to the king, reaching into his pouch and grabbing the two daggers he had inside. He didn't turn to look at the girl. "The king has to be protected" was all he said, getting into a defensive stance.

 

A bright smile lite up Fiona's face "Thank you!" She said as she gratefully hugged him before he left.

Verdelet killed the few soldiers who had approached him with little difficulty. "These soldiers really aren't very good." He then ran over to the dagger wielding man and the sick looking girl protecting Amattai's king. Why does she look sick? he thought to himself but understood when he saw the headless man at her feet. It must've been her first kill... He then returned his focus to the battle. There were quite a lot of soldiers and not many knights "Hope you have a lot of stamina." He said to the two without turning his head "You're gonna need it." With that, he held out his two front fingers and a small orb of flame appeared at their tips. A continuous spout of fire shot from the orb as he aimed it at any soldiers who got too close. However, he had been using a fair amount of high level magic, sometimes stacking up two or three spells at the same time and was beginning to feel the effects. His limbs began to weaken, sweat dripped down his forehead, he was breathing slightly harder. All the normal symptom of exhaustion, only they appeared sooner than if he had fought them with solely melee. But he could handle being a little tired and kept up the spout of fire.

 

~Ammitai~​

Grateful for the help, Laetitia felt better, and she took a deep breath, ready to fight. She nodded at the archer, he was right, the king had to be protected. The Archer was out of arrows, and now fought using two small daggers, while the Erian used fiery magic to fight the disguised Kallahian troops. But why would he help us? She thought. We're at war with Erio. Maybe... Maybe they're not as treacherous as we were made to believe. A soldier came around at them from the back and she swiped at him with her sword, making him take a step back, then she swung again, feeling the old familiar exhileration surging through her again. Step forward, right foot first, swing your sword, get his defense down... then attack when his gaurd is down. The soldier fell at her feet, wounded, but not dead. She felt better about this one, she had succesfuly defended her king without killing the threat. Smiling a half-smile, she nodded in satisfaction and turned to rush at another soldier.

 

As the little witches left, Shane decided to take alittle trip to Ammitai. It sure enough beats staying there.

 

Erios​

Ciel and the transports arrived at Amittai's front gate and piled out. "Looks like we're in for a treat. All men, paste on Erios' flag. Kill any who aren't Amittain or wearing this flag." he ordered with ease and ran into the city. Around a mass of people a black circle formed immediately as Ciel stepped into the city. Surging upwards, a mass of shadows tore apart the Kallahin soldiers. "Is everyone alright?" He smirked and gave a two fingered wave to everyone.

Kallahi​

Crimson sighed and followed Advent, "I'll come too. Two people pack faster than one. And I don't...really have any stuff of my own. Oh, we should tell Doctor Crescent and Max. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces. Cooke'll be so proud of me! Finally a real challenge."

Amittai​

Lief passed out finally and the King lifted himself up. "I'll be fine. Ah...Ciel Phantomhive!" His jaw dropped as a large mass of soldiers fell from his magic. "The last child of the Eastern Tribe. We'll be alright now...Erios has come to our aid."
