Try, I may also start on my friday afternoon...which would be later today. we'll see if I have time or not and if my mother allows me to be on my computer.

    ooc: Start!
    bic:

Midafternoon in Kallahi was a nightmare. Rush hour and the amount of heat produced by the sun and the amount of chemicals from the production of magic crystals created a smog and kept in the heat. Dr. Cooke Crescent stared out her window at the hot streets and people bustling around. "One day, Max...we'll find a way to fix Kallahi, and then..." she stood and smiled at her twin brother. "Hey, Max, you think those boys we tested on will be alright?" Max grunted, he usually never spoke, and kept his eyes fastened on the book he was reading.

Crimson ran up flights of stairs and down a hallway, his boots skidding on the marble flooring, "Doctor Crescent! Doct-" assuming the glass door was open was a mistake. He banged his face into the glass, leaving an imprint of his face on the door. "Ow...son of a..." Sliding it open, Crimson excitedly met Cooke and Max's concerned gazes. "The Primarch just issued orders to the military to send in applications to our commanding officers to be recomended for going to find proof of the kidnapping of the High Priest of Erios!" Cooke chuckled, "So? You came to us to tell us that?" She watched his face grow mottled with embarrassment as he bolted back out the door and down the hall.

Lief Hyrin settled himself into a comfortable position under a tree. Amittai was such a more peaceful place than Kallahi's noisy streets and Erios' odd sights. "It's only natural to assume nature would be the better place to live. After all Lord Elstelz is much more relaxed in his way of ruling." Without a care in the world, Lief drifted into an easy sleep. "YO! Lief! Wake up boy! Time for you to go on an adventure! Since I know you Looooove them sooo much!" Opening one eye, Lief glared at his commanding officer of his troop, "Sir, no disrespect but....could you shut the hell up?! I don't like adventures. Whatever it is, I'm not doing it."

Ciel watched his students practice in silence. He wasn't happy with their progress of late and even more displeased by Kallahi's awful show of diplomacy. "Kidnapping our High Priest...how low. If it wasn't for my school I'd go to Kallahi and kill every one of them." A few students stopped before him and bowed. Returning the smile, Ciel sighed, "What am I saying? I couldn't possibly hurt them all....after all, nature doesn't destroy for revenge. It destroys for peace and evolution."

Mikatsu Numara breathed in the magic energy charged air and set her eyes on the city. "Alright, Mikatsu...time to make an impact on Erios. It's time to make the Numara name something of a legend in Erios. I'll find and return the High Priest to Erios, where he...errr...she? rightfully belongs."

    Name: Deanna Sanford
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female
    Country: Erios
    Faction: Magic Swordsman
Types of Spells: Fire, Ice, Sumoning, Lighting, Magnet, Cure and Reflect
    Appearance: http://www.advancedanime.com/pictures/normal_tara3.jpg
    Weapon(s): http://img2.lln.crunchyroll.com/i/spire4/a327949f60e7bc77faed237ab589aa691231449302_full.jpg
Bio: Deanna always wanted to be a top swordsman like her father and brothers. She practiced each day with a wooden stick, trying to emulate the things that her brothers learned during their lessons (that she spied on). Her mother didn't think it was right for a girl to be a swordsman and to become a white or black mage like the rest of the girls in her family. Deanna refused and her mother gave her a choice: Deanna would challenge her to a duel. If Deanna won she could go train with her sibllings. If she lost Deanna would give up the sword (and her dreams) forever. Deanna accepted and the battle took place. Since her mother was a powerful black mage and Deanna wasn't powerful yet Deanna was backed into a corner. Just as her mother was about to deal the finishing blow Deanna screamed and somehow summoned a bear. This bear attacked her mother and created the opening Deanna needed to win the match. Since a deal was a deal Deanna was now allowed to train with her siblings.
Other: Deanna's summonings are: A bear and a Falcon. She also has trouble with the reflect spell and the cure spell.

James took a deep breath. Erio..the country of magic..the country that's causing all these problems. The war, everything he thought to himself. He knocked another arrow, keeping an eye on the deer he was hunting as he practiced his archery skills. He squinted with one eye, enabling him to be slightly more accurate with his shots. Releasing the arrow, it was sent flying through the air, imbedding itself in the foreleg of the deer. It cried in pain as it tried to escape, then gave up. James stood up from where he had been crouching. There was a slight breeze going through the trees as he walked over to the deer. He knocked another arrow, aiming it at the deer's skull. He then lowered his bow and returned the arrow to his quiver as he sighed. "Killing an innocent animal like this would make me no better than the animals we are at war with" he said thoughtfully. He pulled the arrow from the deer and put it back into his quiver, and then took a seat on a tree stump nearby.

OOC: Since there's no description of the land ltself i improvised :P

Laetita sighed as the road she had been traveling on finally came within veiw of the Capital City. The sun shone through the clouds onto the once beautiful city, casting a golden light over the broken rubble as well as the still intact white marble buildings that had stood tall for as long as the city had been there. She remembered coming here with her master as a young girl, to come to a festival with her Master, who was to take part in a royal tournament.
How proud he had been that day, he had won the tournament with honors, and had recieved as a reward, a sword fashioned completely out of gold. The King himself had presented the sword to him, and her master had held it up for the world to see, and the sun had shone down on that faraway memory just as it was shining now, and gleamed on the polished surface. On the trip home, he had been silent and reserved, but Laetitia had been able to see that he was very pleased with himself. His sword he kept, and had it hung up where it could be seen everytime Laetitia trained with him.
After the war, however, there were no more tournaments held in the Capital City, and her Master's home was now empty. When he had gone away to war, he gave his sword to Laetitia, to keep safe until he returned. But return he did not, and the sword was wrapped up in silk and stored safely away in a wooden case, locked and hidden away from the world, so if she ever found him, she could give it back to him.
She smiled sadly as she walked on, her thoughts dwelling on those merry times and then turning to the task at hand. She intended to enlist in the Kings army, to help in whatever way she could. She was willing to die for her country, for the simple ways of life she loved so much, for her family of farmers, who had not seen a good harvest since the countries around them had begun to tamper with the earth. She intended to have some adventure, she had not been training these past fifteen years so she could sit comfortably at home as her world fell to pieces around her. And she intended to search for her Master. At least, she intended to discover what had befell him. She had little hope that he was still alive, but if he was, she would find him.

Perpetua and Theodora ran quickly down the street, playing and laughing as they ran. Perpetua splashed in a puddle and sent the water flying through the air, twisting and turning before slowly falling all around her, while Theodora sent a sunbeam dancing through the falling water, creating a rainbow in the proccess. They were two naturally born witches, twins, and they were seven years old, the most magical number. All this enhanced with the magical energy surging through the air made it easy to play their simple games, they ran down the street doing whatever they thought of. They didn't even have to speak, they almost seemed to understand exactly what the other was thinking and they were perfectly synchronised with each other. As the water settled back into it's puddle, they continued on their way, skipping along down the street. In their childlike minds, the world was perfect, a magical playground that had no bounderies. They did not know about the war, or the Project, or the pollutions in the air. They didn't even really know where they were, and they didn't care much either. They just lived each day for themselves, enjoying their innocence. Somewhere deep in their subconscience, they knew that they would have to learn about life soon, so they played while playing was still an option as they waited for fate to guide their growth.

Verdelet was in the capitol building of Erios, sitting in the leather chair situated in his office. "It's too quiet around here.." He said to himself. He was so bored he almost wished Kallahi would attack. Just then, Fiona came into the room. "Sir, the reports are done." She said, laying a stack of papers on his desk. "Thank you." Verdelet said as he picked them up and began to read. Fiona stood there for a moment, then spoke "Um sir?" He looked up at her to see what she wanted. There was an awkward silence for a few moments. "Yes?" "Um...nevermind" She said as she hurried out of the room. Verdelet was puzzled by this but soon forgot it and returned to his work.

The skies clouded over Erios and Amittai. Kallahi's pollution prevented change in weather inside the city. Rain drops started to patter down and citizens scurried inside. Ding~Dong a bell tolling a city wide announcement in Erios.
"Citizens of Erios. Even with the absence of our beloved High Priest, we will continue to venture for peace. Amittai has been judged for siding with Kallahi. If they are truely a country of isolated peace, then...they would lay down their lives to our army. Our faith is strong, and our hope solid. Keep your faith, hope and pride in Erios and we will win!"
The voice disappeared and Ciel snorted, "Now we're attacking Amittai...for no descernable reason? What are they thinking? This is ridiculous! Who's running things up there?" A student stood and bowed, "General Kakanas is running things now. Without His Excellence the High Priest, we're left to a General's dictation." Ciel frowned and scowled at the floor, "Kakanas...a military man controling a magic industrial country...students, you're free for the day. I must...discuss something with General Kakanas." He stood and headed towards the city and the capital's Palace.

An explosion shook the ground below Lief and his commander. "What the...?" Without a word, his commander and himself ran back towards Amittai as a collum of black smoke rose from it's outer walls. "We're under attack? By who?" "See there boy? It's Erios. I never thought they'd be foolish enough to believe those lies. We must defend our home, Lief."

OOC: lol, as I was reading, Narnia Battle music started playing in my headphones. This is awesome!

As Laetitia entered the city, the ground shook with a violent explosion. Wha! Is the city under attack again? This is insanity! Hand on the hilt of her sword just in case, she ran as fast as she could towards the center of the city. She needed to find out what was going on so she could be better equipped to fight. And of course, it's raining. she thought. Swordplay is always more difficult in foul weather.

    ~Erio~

Perpetua and Theodora heard the announcement and stopped playing. Perpetua sighed sadly, splashing in one final puddle as the rain fell to the ground. "I guess it's time," She said quietly. Theodora scowled, her small face forming a cute pout. "Then let's go," she said. "It was fun while it lasted. Now it's time to learn." Holding hands, they ran down the street, not knowing what was ahead, leaving their childhood behind.

James looked at the black smoke in the sky, clearly above Amittai. "Ah, so we're under attack. When will this nonsense end?" he asked himself, voicing his thoughts aloud. He was only a short distance away from Amittai, but sometimes that's all the time that was needed to desroy a city. He looked over at the horse he had been riding. His horse's name was Blaze, simply because he liked the name. He ran over and leapt into the saddle. "Looks like we're needed, Blaze" James said. Together both the horse and its rider sped off hastily towards Amittai, prepared to do what was necessary to save their home. James readied his bow as he neared Amittai. If there was ever a time to put my archery skills to use, it would be now he thought as he approached the gates.

James dismounted and told his horse to stay outside the city. "It'll be safer out here" he had told Blaze. He made sure he had his twin daggers at his belt, readied his bow, and hurried towards the center of the city to find out where he was needed and what he was needed to do.

Verdelet Heard the announcement and picked up his black metal staff. "Thats my cue." He then walked over to the window and gathered his focus. He cast a spell and his shadow slowly lifted from the ground and crawled up to his back. It then spread outward to form three dimensional black wings attached to his back. He leaped out the window and his wings caught the wind. He began to soar as he turned in the direction of Amittai. Just before he left, Fiona cast a spell to heighten his abilities. "Hope you come back safe." She said to him, even though he couldn't hear her.

    Amittai

Lief and his commanding officer arrived what seemed to be obviously way too late to Amittai's fountain plaza at the center of the city. "What? King Elstelz!!" Before them, several of Erios' army wearing gold armor surrounded the plaza and King Elstelz. The citizens either all dead or severely injured. A soldier held a short barreled pistol to the King's head, "Lay down your weapons and surrender. Amittai is now under the jurisdiction of High Priest Anagraze." Lief dropped his sword and closed his eyes to the calm look on his King's tanned face.

    Erios

Soldiers dressed in gold armor piled into transports outside the gates. Each brandishing a sword forked at the tip like a snake tongue. "Alright, all of you pile in. For the liberation of Erios!" Ciel crouched near the ground outside his home. His head jerked up and spied the pillar of black smoke rising from Amittai, "They're being attacked...and yet we haven't even left the main gates. Something's wrong here."

Verdelet flew overhead of the soldiers leaving the gate and turned to see the plume of smoke. How has the attack already begun? The troops are still here. He thought to himself. "Something's not right." He took off in the direction of it but stopped and skidded to a halt on the ground a little ways away. He clutched the staff tight in his hand and cautiously began to approach the city.

Laetitia stopped when she reached the fountain plaza. There were soldiers all around, but they weren't figthing, and she could see dead citizens lying everywhere. She felt sick. She had wanted adventure, yes, but she hadn't really thought much about the price at which adventure comes. She wanted to protect people, to keep them from dying, but these people were already dead. War was a deadly game. Slowly pushing through the crowd, she saw the man holding the strange weapon up to the king's head. A gun. She had never seen one before, but she had heard of them, and they were deadly. "Lay down your weapons and surrender. Amittai is now under the jurisdiction of High Priest Anagraze," the man said. Laetitia froze. She didn't know what to do in such a situation. Her master had taught her only to fight, never to surrender, but she couldn't fight. Not now, not while her King was held a hostage. She looked around at the other soldiers. Until she could figure out what was happening, she would do whatever they did. Most of them were dropping their weapons, so she did the same, her silver sword falling to the ground with a clang. She looked up at the strong calm face of her king. She had only ever seen him once, on that day of the tournament all those years ago. He looked so much older, so tired, and yet, he was peaceful. How could that man stand there and hold a gun to their beloved king's head? How could he be so heartless?

    ~Erio~

Perpetua and Theodora ran through a large crowd of people, all wearing gold armor. The people towered above the two children, and the held tightly to each other's hands, so they would not get seperated. Although they coudn't see the faraway smoke rising above the heads and buildings nearest them, they could tell that something was wrong. The strange gold-clad people were feeling anxious, some frightened, some angry, some looking for revenge. There were no peaceful feelings anywhere in that crowd. "This way!" Perpetua said quietly, almost in a whisper. Only Theodora could hear her. Still holding hands, they dodged their way through the swiftly moving grown-ups 'til they got to another man, this one crouched down and watching the skies. Since he was closer to the ground, they could see his face, and they could tell he was different then the nameless others. This man was wiser then most, and probably could help them. "Excuse me!" Perpetua said, speaking louder this time. "Excuse me, might I ask what is going on? Something is wrong, and we wish to be of assistence in any way possible."

Advent loosened the collar of his shirt, tugging at it as he sighed out loudly. He thought that by now he would have gotten used to Kallahi's heat but he still hated the conditions. "You'd think that by now there'd be a cleaner way to do things." Advent muttered as he stared out the large glass window in front of him, crossing his arms as he stared at the heavy layer of smog in the air.

"I'm willing to bet that one day we'll be able to reverse all this." Came the voice of Night as he walked down the hall, passing Advent. "For now, don't worry about it." He added in as he kept walking.

Advent nodded slight and glanced at Night as he rounded a corner, vanishing from sight. He never kept close contact to the others like him. He knew who the others were, like Crimson, but Advent just preferred to keep to himself...though not as much as Night did. 'I wonder where if he has nothing better to do than wander about.' Advent thought to himself.

"Hm..." He soon lost his train of thought when he heard footsteps echoing farther down the hallway. Advent turned to face the person coming, seeing that it was Crimson. "You look like you're in a hurry."

James had already had an arrow knocked and aimed, but upon hearing the orders to lay down the weapons, he faced a decision. Shoot and hope for the best, or lay down weapons and hope another opportunity arises. Breathing a sigh of regret, James lowered his bow. He did not drop it completely, but he lowered it enough that it could not be seen from the crowd. The moment i get the shot..i take it he thought to himself.

    Amittai

Lief growled, "This isn't happening..." King Elstelz smiled at his soldiers and remaining people, "Was it necessary? To kill all of them? And now...what will you do?" The soldier pressed the barrel of his gun against the King's head, "Huh...sh-shut up! Like we said, Amittai is under Erios' jurisdiction. All these people will now be...eliminated." Lief's head jerked up. "What?! NO!" "Silence!" The soldier removed the gun from the King's head and shot Lief through the stomach. Elstelz nodded to James, who he'd seen hiding, and to the rest of the knights around the plaza. Elstelz's elbow jabbed into the soldier's helmet and his knee followed into the soldier's stomach. "Laetitia!" he shouted and held his hand out for a sword.

    Erios

Ciel jumped at the sound of a little girl's voice and a Shadow spell flared to life in his hands as he turned to face them. "Oh, you startled me. This isn't child's play. You should go back to the city and wait there with your mother." Banishing his spell, Ciel sat comfortably on the ground to remain at their level.

Several transports took off from the gates and more arrived to take more soldiers. But..oddly, not a single Raise Pillar was taken with them.

    Kallahi

Crimson skidded to a halt in front of Advent, "Advent! Didn't you hear? We have permission to ask to be sent on a mission to find proof that Kallahi is not responsible for Erios' latest kidnapping of their High Priest. I'm going to ask Beta Gaia Commander myself." He paused for a moment and narrowed his eyes on Advent, "But you wouldn't be interested in this...you're nothing but Doctor Crescent's little suck up experiment." he snarled.

Verdelet heard the gunshot and quickened his pace. When he arrived he saw the knights attacking the soldiers. This is odd. He decided to stay out of sight until he was needed.

Back in Erios, Fiona began to worry about Verdelet. "I wonder if he's ok..." She stood up and walked around until she found someone who looked as though they might know. "Excuse me. Do you know what the situation in Amattai is?" She questioned.

James' eyes narrowed as he focused. Taking a deep breath, he raised his bow. "Now or never" he muttered, grabbing an arrow and placing it. He pulled back the drawstring and closed his eyes for a brief moment to gather where the wind was coming from, then his eyes calculated the trajectory quickly. Aiming very, very carefully, James sent an arrow flying towards the soldier that had shot lief, aiming for the skull.

Even though she was in the middle of the worst moment in her life so far, Laetitia couldn't help but feel happy as the King called her name. After all those years, he remembered her, a young apprentice from a country village? But that wasn't important right now. Without a moment's hesitation, she kicked her sword up from the ground and caught it in her hand, then she tossed it to the King. She had no doubt that he would be able to protect himself. Then she ran to the man who had been shot. She pulled him away from the main battle, and looked around. Everyone was busy fighting, not many people would be able to help. She looked back at the man. She didn't know what to do, she had no experience in medicine whatsoever. She wasn't even sure if he was still alive. All she could do was stand over him and watch, try to defend him from any Erios soldiers that strayed too close. Standing up, she watched the battle closely. She had no weapon, but her Master had prepared her for this moment. She knew how to fight with her arm gaurds.

    ~Erio~

Perpetua looked at the man and smiled. "We don't have a mother in the city," She said happily. "We came here because we knew something was about to change. My name is Perpetua, and this is my sister Theodora." Theodora nodded in greeting. "We're witches," she said. "And we want to fight." Perpetua laughed. "Well," she said. "Theodora wants to fight, I usually just use my powers to heal and make it rain."
