The fact that bugs me the most, is that the parents give money to people to torture and kidnap the kids, and they call it "curing"you...
I mean the kids are probably so afraid when they get out of there, they act "good"....

I think that parents who can't control their child don't deserve to have one. However, since my opinion on that matter doesn't count for ****, I can sort of see what he means by if you've never had a problem child you won't be able to understand, but I do not agree with the OP nor the children not being able to trust one another. To me, being able to trust someone is important. And how are the children supposed to deeply express their feelings if they know that afterwards they'll have a room full of people cutting them down? Not to mention the last paragraph made me realize that they aren't 'curing' these children, they're turning them into lifeless clones who can't think for themselves anymore. Hell, I bet the parents wouldn't be so happy about their new kids if they knew exactly what they had to go through. About how their child is only 'nice' now because they're scared to be anything but.

Yeah, a bunch of kids are always having nightmares when they come out. On one bulletin board, the majoirty of them claimed to have frequent nightmares about gettign sent back to Tranquility Bay. They usually wake up crying and in a sweat.

If a place is so horrible that it does that to you, it deserves to go.

What do you think we should do? Maybe write letters to our Congress people? There must be more that we can do than talk about how f***ed up it is.

Unfortunally, it wouldn't make a diffrence. Most people here are 17 or younger which in America, we are classified as minors. We don't have a say in any thing. This is also why we can't vote...

That is absolutely sickening. Everything is just so wrong.. >.<

It kind of reminds me of 1984, with the whole totalitarian state thing. Those kids have no freedom whatsoever, I would not be able to survive there.. it's worse than a prison. I was really hoping that it was fictional as I was reading it.. :/

I bet that Jay Kay guy is laughing all the way to the bank.. >.>

Oh don't say that.. everybody has an opinion and everybody has a right to speak it. No matter who you are.

    Well of course we have an opinion, but it doesn't make a diffrence in the eyes of our pathetic government -_-;

The government has nothing to do with this issue. Sadly, this is run by a private business. And as sickening and horrifying as this crazy place is, they have the right to do it. The government can't really do anything about it because it is an independent entity.

Parents need to be more responsible and caring for their kids.

    Flat and simple.

Wow, you have no idea what you're talking about since you don't even live here. You may have an opinion, but the government in the US could care less what the hell you have to say, because they think we are irresponsible minor's.

And no, not 'everyone' has 'free' rights to say what they want. Like the citizens in North Korea.

I don't think the US can do anything about it because it's in Jamaica. Even if we were to speak up, I doubt we could do anything.

    But wouldn't their face hurt?

I'm a little surprised about this, but I'm sure parents who like, can't stand their bratty kids send them there, though even if they did, THAT is too extreme.

Even if it was in the U.S. We wouldn't be able to do anything about it because it's a private business.

Of course, there is always the option of eliminating the need for places like this...

If it was in the U.S., it would be illegal since it goes against the consitution and violates personal freedoms. But in theory, you would be right as far as it being a private business. Theres nothing we can do.
