I have been so strong in resisting, but I have finally caved and I have started to watch Naruto...

mostly because Bleach is going through another filler season :< and I cant find any animes that are similar to Bleach...

I however still refuse to watch One Piece.

Well I wouldn't know of any similar to Bleach, but there are some other very good anime out there. You could have watched any number of those instead. I, for one, will never cave in and watch Naruto. I simply refuse, with every ounce of my being.

Two words for you: Soul Eater. So much better of an anime. Trust me. It's like Bleach, but it has comedy out of the wazoo plus some creepier themes.

Shows similar to Bleach? Try out Yu Yu Hakusho. Bleach owes a lot to that show >>

Eh, Naruto's not so bad from what I've seen (six episodes). I thought it was average.
I just can't stand to watch a series longer than 50-55 episodes, usually x: lol. I start to lose focus on it because I want to use my spare time for something else after a while.

tl;dr: IMO it's an okay show but I gave up because it was soooo long, maybe I have ADD

It's funny, because One Piece is easily the best of the big three now.

    Yu Yu Hakusho.
    S-CRY-ed (26 episodes).
Kazuma, Yusuke, and Ichigo are the three sexist anime guys ever.

I am four episodes in and im starting to get annoyed with the lack of plot development....

I thought it was an anime with alot of fighting and plot...atleast it seemed to me to be that way...I guess i was wrong :S

Four words for you, sir. Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. That should give you enough plot and action to last you for now.

It drags on forever. But that's just my preference, I don't follow a series that's longer then say 50 episodes or so.

I know this great anime called Bleach, have you heard of it? Well when you've got to the end just start back at the beginning. It should save you from Naruto at least.

I actually really don't mind the new filler season of Bleach. They're using the good animation and it's still relevant to the actual storyline.

Naruto and Bleach started off strong and promising, while One Piece started off weak. Then Naruto got dragged down with horrible plot devices, an obsession with Sasuke by the author, fanbase and protagonist alike, and utter chaos. Bleach was good until Soul Society, at which point filler caught it. Also, the mangaka invents new characters when he has writer's block, which leads to bad writing.

One Piece, on the other hand, has only improved. Since the lacklustre start, it has really picked up. There's precious little filler in comparison to Naruto/Bleach, the writing is incredibly well directed, with callbacks placed everywhere, and the overall tone has become more serious. Now people actually die.

    Also, Mother Sea. Oh gods, Mother Sea. ;_;
