{Cyborg Soldier: 009} ~ OOC

This RP is based off the anime Cyborg 009, mainly the remake that was around in 2001. You don't need to have ever watched it before to understand the RP.


Setting: Earth. Year 2030.

Basic Story: The organization Black Ghost is well known in the criminal world for its advances in weapon technology as Black Ghost creates and sells weapons to the highest bidder. Just over 30 years ago, the man in charge of the organization, the Black Ghost was thought to be killed by a group of 9 cyborgs known as the zero-zero series who were originally meant to be used as weapons to do his bidding. It turns out that the man seems to be back from the dead. Black Ghost has restarted his organization and has it back up and running as if nothing ever happened. Now he has abducted another group of 9, transforming them into cyborgs against their will and taking away whatever future they once had. Though Black Ghost intended to have these new "Mark 2" (Mk. 2) cyborgs to be designed such that it would be impossible for them to betray him, Black Ghost's plans went horribly wrong as the new zero-zero series cyborgs escaped from his R&D facility.

Now on the run, these new cyborgs must quickly come to terms with what they are and band together lest they be destroyed for daring to escape from Black Ghost's clutches. They have two choices, fight or surrender. ...And surrender means death by the hands of Black Ghost.



Cyborgs: The zero-zero Mark 2 series, or 00 Mk. 2, bares many similarities to their predecessors. Each cyborg has a durable body capable of withstanding light gunfire. They are all stronger and faster than a regular human. Each cyborg has special abilities that when used together make them an unstoppable fighting force. Spoiler: 00 Series Mk. 2

Cyborg 001 Mk.2
001 being the first of the new generation of cybernetic weapons, 001's design is relatively simple.
Specs:
1. Strength to bench just over 7000 pounds, setting 001 to easy be the physically strongest of the cyborgs.
2. A body capable of withstanding the most extreme environments and able to take massive amounts of impact force and even come out of missile fire relatively unharmed.
3. The ability to jump two dozen times 001's own height. Approx. 140 feet.
4. A gatling gun can extend from 001's left shoulder.


Cyborg 002 Mk.2
002 was worked and reworked on more than the other cyborg models due to the amount of flaws in the original design. The project would have stopped with 002 but the scientists working behind 002 were too inventive to just stop with him.
Specs:
1. Jets placed on his feet along with a streamlined lightweight body to enable smooth flight of up to Mach 6.
2. Zero Shift, an ability similar to teleportation that enables the user to accelerate beyond the ability of even other cyborgs capabilities of tracking it. It only allows 002 to travel in a straight line up to at most 50 meters. It does not let him phase through objects and cannot be used to access places which he cannot see. This is the true extent of the former ability possessed by the Mk. 1 cyborg's "acceleration mode" and at lower levels the Zero Shift can be used to access this ability however this mode has been proven many times to put a large strain on any cyborg's body.
3. A multitude of positioning devices and gyroscopes are inside 002's body enabling 002 to track his own position relative to anything else in the environment. As such, he can never get dizzy or disoriented from any sort of movement and has an uncanny sense of direction.
4. Claws capable of shredding through most anything extend from 002's hands though their primary purpose is to serve as an emergency brake for last-minute stops at his high speeds.


Cyborg 003 Mk.2
003 was literally designed to be like a Swiss Army Knife, housing a multitude of nigh-indestructible tools for just about any situation.
1. 003 can send out up to ten hooks from the arms for any purpose at hand, using them to catch from a fall, reel objects in, or trap an enemy.
2. 003's hands can become saws capable of cutting through even tough steel.
3. Out of 003's fingers can pop out just about anything one would find in an average tool box.
4. 003 comes equipped with a flamethrower that expels flames from the mouth when all else fails. The temperatures reached with the flamethrower are high enough to melt through metal and even dig tunnels through certain materials.


Cyborg 004 Mk.2
004 was created to work in a similar fashion to 003. Instead of tools however, 004 was meant to carry a heavy arsenal.
1. Light machine guns available for use through every fingertip.
2. Both knees serve as mortars. When at the kneeling position, the kneecap opens to reveal a firing tube.
3. Short blades can extend from the back of 004's hands and can fire off to penetrate armor similar to 003's needles.
4. 004 can fire off two types of grenades from the elbows. Flash-bang grenades and explosive.


Cyborg 005 Mk.2
005 is a complete turnaround from 004 and comes equipped a variety of sensory equipment and the like.
1. 005 has the most advanced form of X-Ray vision available, giving 005 the ability to see through any object outside of lead and even "peel back" layers of material to pick out the desired view. Along with this, 005 can easily see objects farther away than the other cyborgs.
2. 005 comes equipped with night-vision, infrared sensors, and other sensors enabling 005 to comprehend the full electromagnetic spectrum and even "sense" electric and magnetic disturbances from great distances. 005's eyes can also adjust almost instantaneously to any amount of light.
3. 005 is the only cyborg with further advanced positioning systems than 002. 005 can track down any of the other cyborgs and pinpoint their location at any time. Like 002, this cyborg is just as capable of keeping track of its own position relative to the environment.
4. Only this cyborg has the ability to communicate with the other cyborgs telepathically at any distance. If the other cyborgs will it, they can allow 005 to see through their eyes.


Cyborg 006 Mk.2
Seeing as how direct approaches were not always the best way to go about things, 006 was created for the specific purpose of espionage.
1. Able to render itself completely invisible to all but the most sensitive of equipment. As such, only 005 and extremely powerful tracking devices can see 006.
2. Equipped with a sound generator than receives all the ambient sounds of the surroundings and plays it back out of phase. The result? Muting the environment for a 100 foot radius for complete silence.
3. 006 can change form to any human appearance as well as mimicking the vocal patterns of the one copied.
4. 006 has several electronic devices available at the fingertips for hacking into any device with ease.


Cyborg 007 Mk.2
007 was created to be an electrical generator and was very much an experiment for the scientists working on 007 as they were unsure if the human body, even a cyborg, could handle large amounts of current going through the body.
1. 007 can generate an EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) to disable nearby electronic devices. While this does not deactivate the cyborgs, it can actually disable 002's and 005's GPS units as well as deactivate 006's invisibility feature.
2. 007 is able to send out arcs of electricity out of the hands which can very easily be transferred through wires and any other conductible material. This ability will quickly reduce 007's power if used often.
3. 007 can magnetize metallic objects(and to a lesser extent on cyborgs) for a variety of effects.
4. Able to produce a weak barrier around itself capable of deflecting bullets and other projectiles as well as, up to a certain extent, explosions.


Cyborg 008 Mk.2
In the Mk.2 series of cyborgs, there had been not a single one that addressed the possibility of underwater combat. Thus, 008 was made.
1. The only cyborg with the ability to breathe underwater for an indefinite period of time.
2. 008 is able to maneuver through water at a higher capability than any other creature of the sea, moving at speeds approaching 100 miles an hour underwater at best using small but powerful turbines located on the feet. 008's body is also able to cope with the high pressures of the ocean depths and has perfect vision in darkness.
3. 008 has enhanced hearing, allowing to pick up faint vibrations up to a mile away on dry land and several miles underwater.
4. 008 is equipped with a sonar device which, at low levels, can be used for echolocation and at their peak can be used to create a sonic blast at the clap of the hands.


Cyborg 009 Mk.2
Intended to be the last of the Mk.2 series, 009 is equipped with several devices that were originally planned to be added to the other cyborgs.
1. A hologram device that is able to reproduce a single perfect copy of 009. Its limitations are that it cannot interact with the physical world and produces no sound which allows it to be differentiable from the real thing.
2. Contains a device that allows 009 to phase out of shift with the rest of the world enabling 009 to pass through solid objects.
3. 009 has a similar ability to 003's flamethrower. Instead of breathing fire however, 009's breath can easily freeze anything in its path.
4. 009's hands contain portal generators. The left hand fires out a golden portal while the other fires out a blue portal for instant access from point A to point B. The scientists who developed this technology were inspired by a certain game...

Spoiler: Black Ghost

"Skull"
The mastermind and leader of Black Ghost. Most know him by the title "Black Ghost" but his real name is Skull. As for how he has survived after supposedly having been killed no one really knows. His abilities are powerful and many and he can easily take on several cyborgs in combat and win.

Cyborg θθ7
After the 00 Mk. 2 series cyborgs escaped, this was the first "theta-theta" series cyborg sent after the group to hunt them down. Unlike the zero-zero series this new series has been implemented with a chip that makes them entirely loyal to Black Ghost.
1. θθ7 has the strength to bench over 8000 pounds.
2. θθ7 is able to withstand intense temperature changes and great amounts of impact force.
3. θθ7 is able to jump to approx 180 feet in the air.
4. Carries a series of shotgun shells in his knuckles giving an added force to punches when required. The knuckles lift to reveal the shotgun shells.
5. Houses an electrical generator in both feet that can cause electrocution when contact is made with an object. Able to electrocute others who are stood in something like a puddle with him.
6. θθ7 comes equipped with night-vision, infra-red sensors, and other sensors enabling θθ7 to comprehend the full electromagnetic spectrum and even "sense" electric and magnetic disturbances from great distances. θθ7's eyes can also adjust almost instantaneously to any amount of light. This ability is similar to the ability of Cyborg 005 Mk.2.

Appearance:

Abani measures at approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with an estimated weight of around 200 lbs. He has generally smooth skin, with a complexion akin to the color of dark mocha. The top of his head is completely shaven off, though it would otherwise be adorned by a short afro of black hair. A mustache-goatee frames the space around his mouth. Some disproportion is present in his hands and feet, both of which are proportionally larger than the rest of his figure. As for the rest of his figure, he’s literally what some would call “built like a bull.” Abani carries himself with a pseudo-hulk physique that is composed chiefly of a bulky, yet cut figure in which the majority of his muscles are clearly defined.

Bio:

As is particularly commonplace for most cyborgs such as him, he hasn’t much memory for his life prior to enhancement. He doesn’t so much recall people, events and places though; more so, he recalls things that he did, completely isolated from the rest of the memories. He remembers climbing trees (where they grew), and throwing rocks as far as he could as though he were an Olympian athlete. He vaguely recalls aspirations of competing in world athletic events as a youth, but the reasons for desiring such a thing continues to elude him. Inside, he chuckles a bit about it, knowing that with his enhancements, he could easily take athletic titles without even a hint of competition. But unfortunately, there’s no time for that, and probably never will be.

As for becoming a cyborg, he was taken about two years ago, plucked out of his homeland at age 20 while training himself to take his aspirations by the horns. He was one of the first cyborgs under the new models. As a result, his modifications were the most standard and simplistic ones. He was to be made a physical powerhouse, capable of lifting several tons, and resisting all but the most destructive of weaponry. The process, which he recalls only by some form of muscle memory, was rather arduous at the time, consisting of priming through workout, performance enhancements, and finally, the cybernetics that resulted in him truly becoming a cyborg. In the conclusion of his treatments, for control’s sake, his memories of his past were left in tatters or dormant, such that the desire to return to his old life would be consciously non-existent.

Being designed as a weapon, he was immediately entered into combat training simulations. However, it was found that he wasn’t nearly as aggressive as he needed to be. Eventually, talk of terminating 001 began floating around, and before long, a team was dispatched to do the deed. It was only then, with his life threatened for real, that Abani displayed the strength and aggression necessary to make The Black Ghost organization see his worth. In response to his effortless decimation of his would-have-been killers, he was kept around, and kept to pulling grunt work, and held in reserve. As more cyborgs like him began to come out of the works, he began to feel some level of likeness to them (as he should). When word got out that the lot of them, from 002 through 009, had escaped the Black Ghost facility, Abani decided to give pursuit.​

Personality:

Despite having the necessary strength to bear hug a bear to death, Abani is not what one would call an aggressive, or even ill-meaning individual (even towards enemies). By a base nature, he is a tranquil individual, standing peacefully off to the side of most of the mild conflicts, and apparently never having any strong personal stance for or against anything. Some who don’t know him might just dub him a pushover, and too peaceful for his own good. Some go as far as to think that he’s plain dumb, which of course, is hardly the case. He’s just someone with little to say. And what he lacks in words, he makes up for in action. The only thing that can really spark him to take action is danger, a quality that is often found hand-in-hand with his nearly boundless commitment to his fellow cyborgs. When a shot is fired, or a punch is thrown and the well being of a comrade or himself rests on the other end, he enters a sort of “berserk” state of mind, growing unfathomably more aggressive, and exhibiting fullest potential of his strengths. When the group is at odds, he is either the one in the midst of separating the parties, or walking away when it’s beyond his control.

His most recent memory is of waking up in one of Black Ghost's facilities and escaping. Bio: Evelyn was raised by only her father, who told her that her mother split after saying she didn't want a family life. Evelyn didn't care too much and grew very attached to her father instead. She even adopted his knack of cursing. The two did everything together. When Evelyn went out one day to shop for supplies so she and her father could fix up their porch, she was grabbed from behind. Whomever it was pressed a foul smelling cloth over her mouth and nose before she could see them. Her first thoughts when she woke up (besides Where the hell am I?) were on her father. She was so angry at being taken away from him, she swung her fist in front of her. To her surprise, and soon-to-be great delight, bullets whizzed from her fingers. After getting over the shock of it, she used her new-found abilities to escape her captives.
Personality: You could say she has a very short fuse. Much like slipping your finger on a gun's trigger, if you say the wrong thing around this girl she'll fire away at you. Known to all for her foul mouth, she doesn't hesitate to speak her mind. But underneath all that harsh exterior is a girl who is absolutely terrified about what has happened to her. She refuses to trust most people now because of it, and that has led to her rather unattractive demeanor.

Bio: Ally never really fit in as she was growing up. Due to this she spent a lot of time or tagging along with someone else's group. She spent more time on her work and always got good grades but this seemed to further alienate her from the other kids. Although being alone she became more perceptive and noticed the little things more, she had the time to just sit and watch. She had a nice family, who were well meaning but she always felt lonely. They kidnapped her when she was alone one day, since she's often wondered if any of the people she used to know missed her. When she woke up, she hated everything about what was happening and despite scared, she knew instantly she had to escape. That is what she did. During the escape she realized that she could sense a lot more, she knew exactly what was going on around her and she also found that she knew when the others like her were. She worked hard to find them as now she has made friends with the others, she feels for once like she actually belongs and now she has made close friends, she has vowed to herself she won't lose them.
Personality: Ally is strong and determined, she will do her best in whatever she does. She dislikes fighting but will do what is necessary, especially when her friends need her. She is an optimist, she likes to see the good in things and tries hard to keep the group's spirits up. She can act childish at times but she is mature enough.

Bio: Although she was born in Italy, Aniela didn't speak that much Italian. She had trouble speaking with her relatives and only really spoke with her grandfather without a problem, since she was very close to him. She practically saw him as her second father. During the year he had fallen ill, Aniela was kidnapped by Black Ghost when she was on her way to visit her grandfather at the hospital. After waking up, Aniela suddenly became angry and escaped from the facility. She now has a deep hatred for Black Ghost, but refusing to express that feeling towards the others.
Personality: Calm and kind of quiet. Aniela friendly towards the others and only shows herself aggressive towards enemies, and if she’s provoked. She doesn’t really have a quick temper, but when she’s angry, it’s best to avoid her.

Bio: Beatrix was born into a fine, half-Singaporian, half-Canadian family. She has lived in Canada for the past 18 years of her life, but she loves to embrace the Singaporian trends such as their fashion. She was also a graduating student of her school and was a very hard working student. She had good grades and liked to know what she was doing. Beatrix is very close with her family of 5, which was herself along with her parents and a younger sister and brother. They often go out on road-trips to their vacation houses scattered in many places. It was always a safe and happy trip, but on their way to a vacation house in Ohio they stopped over and that's where Black Ghost took her. It was like something out of a movie when she was kidnapped. All Beatrix could remember was screaming and having no one hear her then everything was suddenly blackness. When Beatrix came to, she was desperate. She desperately wanted a way out and she found herself not alone. There were others kidnapped and wanting escape as well, so she joined them and together they ran for their lives. During the escape, Beatrix found that she could manipulate electricity and magnetize small metal objects - such as the keys to the gates. Upon escape and sweet, fresh air, Beatrix had ran from the group determined to analyze herself further before leaping into other actions like she just had. Now aware of things she could do, however not the extent of her capabilities, Beatrix now searched for these people. She didn't know how to go back to her family, as much as she did want to - and these people, who might as well be as different as can be, would be a good group to hang with.
Personality: Beatrix likes to think things through and not jump into action. She is not good under high pressure circumstances where she is highly depended on because of her systematic-thoughts. She would panic. When faced with her weaknesses she looses confidence because she knows and is sure of the things she can not do. This could be a benefit and a downfall, but overall Beatrix is a sweet girl who cares for others - especially those really close to her.

His fist would be up against the wall while his head was down, looking at the ground with sweat dripping off of his forehead and his breathing would be quite heavy. A loud voice would erupt from outside saying, " Welcome to the grand prix! This is the last championship race! last year's winner, Bryan Francis, is back in the race for another championship! but this time..the track is the legendary Takashi Francis track! named in honor after Bryan's francis father who died on this same track but don't worry guys! that was then when we didn't have that much safety regulations but now we are just fine! now Bryan is a humble guy! coming from rag to riches in the city of Brooklyn, New York baybay!!! GIVE HIM A CHEER!" The crowd was roaring out loudly. The man raises his head up and picked up his motorcycle helmet, shaking his head while voices was running through his head saying, " Don't do it Bryan....don't follow in your father's foot steps! look at what happened to him...died brutally...flew right off his motorcycle and skidded across the road while the othe-" Bryan slammed his fist against the corridor as he walked down into the racing area. The light from the sun was blinding while the smell of oil was lingering around Bryan's nose. A man who appeared to be in his early 40s would walk up to Bryan and pat him on the shoulder saying, "Don't worry about a thing kid..you're gonna be fine!"
Bryan felt slightly comforted as he hopped onto the bike and rode out to the track with a slight smile on his face. Now..the race has started and everybody is speeding down the track at dangerous speeds in an attempt to try and succeed each other but Bryan was obviously in front of everybody. Suddenly! A sputter erupted from the motorcycle with a flash of fire erupting from the back of the bike. This alerted Bryan to try and stop so he can pull over to the side but he just wasn't stopping! THE BIKE WOULDN'T STOP! There was a big turn coming where he had to turn but it was too late... Bryan drove off of the course and slammed right into the wall, causing a large explosion to erupt from the crash site.
Many days later, Bryan laid in his hospital bed. His body was brutally damaged.. he was in critical condition for a while like it seemed as if there was no way for survival. He was constantly in and out of consciousness but this one time, he was able to stay up for a good while. It seemed as if a man has made his way into Bryan's room but he wasn't expecting any visitors.. this is weird? Who can it be? his mother already paid him a visit..all his friends and family have gone home. The man stood over Bryan's body for a good couple of minutes, staring down at him but then a large evil devilish smile erupted across the man's face, gripping down Bryan's body. He ripped him off of his bed, the tubes and needles tearing out of his skin. He gripped his body and placed it over his shoulder, jumping out towards the night. Bryan woke up, jumping out of the hospital bed but his room would be way different from the hospital! where was he!?! He was even more surprised that he was able to move! Bryan looked down at the ground and slammed his hand against the door while saying, " Where the hell am I!?!.."
Personality:
Bryan is a quiet guy who likes to keep things to himself but when he feels he can't bear something anymore, he likes to spills his guts to who ever offers to listen. Due to him being quiet, he can seem like a mean spirited person but he isn't.. he just doesn't like to talk to people that he barely knows. He is the type of person to try and make friends instead of making enemies but trust me, he can hold a mean grudge for a long time. He is also a humble guy who doesn't see himself as anybody up up! He doesn't have an elitist view of life.. he just sees himself like everybody.

Bio: Growing in Tokyo was pretty much easy for Ren. Being that he loved electronic, to the point where he knew how most of them worked, this was a perfect place for him. That all changed when he was captured by Black Ghost. The last thing he remembered before coming to in a cage was the sound of people cheering at the newest electronic device. He managed to escape his cage by making two portal, one inside of his cage and one outside, and used his new ability to escaped from Black Ghost.

Bio: Luka was the man responsible for the production of the Mark 2 cyborgs. With the loss of funding in his own research, Black Ghost offered him a chance to help others with the newest in cyborg technology. Luka agreed, soon gaining a massive amount of money to continue even his own research, helping the Black Ghost organization design even more sophisticated cyborgs than they had ever done in the past. Luka thought he was helping people but never knew that his designs would be modified for use in war and that those receiving these new parts were people taken unwillingly. As soon as he learnt of this it was too late and the cyborgs were already set to be installed with microchips that would force them to be completely obedient to Black Ghost. Luka destroyed these chips and fled from the scene before he was captured and killed. It was then that the first cyborg escaped and the chain reaction begun…
Personality: Luka is a genius in just about every area of science imaginable. He would have to be since he was the one who had brought about the newest generation of cyborgs. He’s a very kind and mild-mannered man most of the time but is filled with guilt and anger after learning that he had been tricked by Black Ghost to create weapons. He wishes nothing more than to bring down Black Ghost and all that it stands for.

Bio: Leader of the Black Ghost organization. Skull seems to be an advanced cyborg. No one knows who would have been able to construct someone like him as he possesses abilities far beyond that of the current cyborgs.
Personality: Cold and often merciless. He rarely offers a second chance to those that fail him and normally kills anyone who displeases him. His true motives seem to be nothing more than to bring humanity to its own destruction by warfare.

Bio: Before his abduction and enhancement Thanos was an FBI agent, although born in Egypt he was raised in different countries due to his parents moving. From this he knows four languages. He can't remember his past at all as it was completely erased and follows his orders to the letter but remembers his skills that he has gained. Considering himself a perfect weapon only further improved after becoming a cyborg he is always aware and never turns off mentally. He was designed as a mixture of the physically orientated abilities of the recent cyborg series and given additional abilities to aid with hunting down targets. When not referred to by his number, he is usually called by his last name.
Personality: He feels a sense of arrogance mixed with blood lust as his emotions but cannot tell if he was always like this or programmed to be this way. He is obedient and strategic which he holds with pride in his cyborg found arrogance.

That's about all I've got at the moment. There'll be more than these 9 in the RP but as for good guys, these are all that I'm allowing until they are all taken. Don't worry too much on each cyborg's abilities. I plan on trying to get every cyborg to be able to use their abilities to their fullest so nobody is useless. I'll add more detailed information on each on later.

I'm rewatching the 2001 series. 8D So I'm basically going to ignore most, or all, of the events that happened after Black Ghost was defeated. Your character is reserved now.


Anyways, I'll be posting up more specific details about the cyborgs in an hour or two. Info to be expected: Strength level, durability rating, endurance, speed, and weaknesses(if any) of the cyborgs.
