Well...because of the Final Mix + not having voices...
I would like to have it all in Japanese and with English subtitles instead of having to hear everything in English, but that's just me. So then they would save time, money, and also the whole story would be more dramatic. :D

I have always wonder if anyone share my same thought.

btw, I haven't really been on the forum and too lazy to read...how do you do poll lol:D

I prefer Japanese audio too, but I wouldn't say the English voice-overs weren't 'dramatic'.

It's true that in my opinion, the Japanese seiyuu get far more into their lines than many NA VAs, but each are good in their respect, especially Christopher Lee, James Woods, etc.

It'd be bad if they kept everything in Japanese audio-wise because NA gamers aren't accustomed to hearing their games in Japanese or any other language, so the incentive to buy the game would go down.

I'm personally all for dual-audio cutscenes (including menus) in RPGs, and see lots of benefits in it in terms of international appeal. It may cause later release dates for games, but it gives developers less pressure to get games out for a certain date (and to some degree, reduce the chances of later 'Final Mixes') and also allows them to focus on one marketing and advertising budget.

With blu-ray now becoming the norm for PS3 titles, I'm hoping dual-audio will at least become more reasonable ideas to bring forward, as disc space was the main issue back then.

I sort of like the English dubbed ones but I would like Japanese with English subs even better. Something about the Japanese voice having more feeling. ;3
