Curse of Science

Nox walked into a white room with a single computer. He began to type on it. He went to Kira's file and typed in dead. He scaned other files of escapees. He then stumbled on something interesting. A file called the 'Dark Warrior' project. It was a new experiment that was so new there had only been one test. The subject showed signs of increesed strenght and speed. It also gave the subject electric like energy that didn't act like normal electricity it could pass through non conductors. Also the subject skin turned grey his eyes black and his hair a goastly white. The subject got to power to fast and had to be killed. Nox looked at the list of prime future subjects. His name was at the top of the list.

 

Kira smiled, then stopped as she looked at her sister's scars. "Alexa...." she sighed.

Alexa looked down, rubbing her fingers over the angry red marks self consciously. "I just......." she drifted off as a guard came into the cell. "C'mon,you're wanted in class." he said, tugging on Alexa's arm.

Kira's eyes narrowed, and she stood up quickly, snapping a kick in the guard's direction. "Let her go!"

 

Nox saw where the test lab was 2 levels down. He had enough clearence to get there but he would need a scientist to perform the presedure.

 

Kira's kick snapped the guards neck, and he dropped, dead. She grabbed Alexa's arm and pulled her to her feet, running out the cell door. "If we can get high enough, we can jump." She said, running to the stairs.

 

Nox headed down the stairs. He had to go down 4 flights of steps to get the labs he'd pass the containment area. Nox would need the powers to take the place down.

 

Kira let go of her sister's arm, and they ran side by side. "Where have you been this whole time?" Alexa asked, breathing evenly. "I was captured, and Nox rescued me. He and I..." Kira unconsciously ran faster, making Alexa worry. "Kira?"

 

Nox was about to walk pass the contaiment area.

 

"Its nothing." Kira murmured as they turned corner. Alexa was about to comment, but yelped inistead, running into something warm...and alive.

 

Nox was suprized when someone ran into him. But thats not what caught his eyes. It was Kira. nox looked like he was about to cry, 'Kira...'

 

Kira tackled Nox, hugging him tightly. "You're here you're here!"

 

Nox kissed Kira and wraped his arms around her, "I thought I loss you."

 

Kira hugged Nox tightly, closing her eyes. "I did lose you..."

Alexa smiled, though curious and confused. Just then several alarms went off. "Kira we need to go. Like, yesterday."

 

"I can't go I have to get to the lower level. There is an experiment I need to do," Nox said.

 

Kira slowly pulled back to where her sister was. "What kind of experiment?...." her voice was muted. "Nox, please."

Alexa watched, her eyes calculating.

 

"I don't have time to explain," Nox said getting up, "I have to go perfore an experiment on myself."

 

Kira's eyes filled with tears slowly, then she blinked and looked down. "Okay. Alexa and I are leaving. We can't stay..." she handed him a number. "Goodbye, sweetheart."

"Kira take these," Nox said he handed her two silanced pistols.

 

Abby rolled her head to the side, her face twisted up in pain. Her chest heaved heavily, trying to catch her breath. Nick's face was barely visible to her, but she could cleary see that he was worried about her. Another shock wave of pain jolted through her body, causing her to arch her back and take in a sharp breath. Abby clutched her hands tightly, waiting for the pain to go away. What's wrong with me...?

Zoey quickly rushed over, crouching down by Nick. "What's wrong with her?!" She looked at Nick, then back at Abby. She bit her lower lip, praying silently in her heart that what ever this was, it would go away.

 

Kira hesitated, then handed one of the guns to her sister. "Be safe." she murmured. She turned to her sister. "Do you know how to-" Alexa shot a guard, then reloaded the pistol. "C'mon, sis."
