Curse of Science

There was a pause on the phone. "So, you did try to call. But you have failed in your duties, Nox. You found an experiment, yet you were... sidetracked. Are you even on our side anymore...?"

 

"Yeah I never left," Nox said, "now let me in."

 

"Why so desperate?" the voice was getting quite impatient.

 

"What do you mean," Nox asked.

 

"After all that time you spent out, you suddenly want back in. Why did it take you so long to drag the girl back? In fact, for that matter, you let her die."

 

"I didn't let her die she was killed," Nox said.

 

"None the less, you did fail to bring her back. Correct?"

 

"Yes," Nox said sounding bitter.

 

"Therefore, all that vital time you spent with that feline has cost you and us also quality time. The more experiments we loose, the more we become more edgy, the less we trust others... Are we clear? Anymore slip ups from you, Nox, and you will meet your maker faster then the lightning strikes."

 

"I dought it will be that fast," Nox hung up and waited for the door to open.

 

Alexa banged on the wall in frustration, wincing as blood dripped out of her hand. "There has to be a way......" She paced her cell, thinking.

 

Abby picked up the pace a little, but didn't let her power take over and make her beat everyone to the house. As she edge the clearing, she started to get that weird feeling in her head again. She ignored it, and kept walking, but that was one of the biggest mistakes. Suddenly, she felt her whole body (including head) explode with pain. She weased out from the suddenly pain, and totally stopped walking, taking deep, rapid breathes of air.

Zoey looked at Abby, snapping out of her thoughts. "Abby...?"

Abby started to see her vision turn black around the edges, and the colors of the forest destorting. Without realizing it, her knees buckled from under her, sending her crashing to the ground.

Nox drove into the the School he parked his car and got out.

BIC: Alexa sat and looked at the wall, when the door opened. "Here ya go." The guards tossed a girl in, then left, locking it up. Alexa went over to the girl, and turned her over, her eyes widening with shock. "Kira?"
"Hey sis." Kira sat up slowly, rubbing her head.

 

Nox walked into the hallways of the school.

 

Alexa hugged her sister tightly, feeling tears appear. "I thought I would never find you." Kira smiled, patting her sister's hair. "I'm glad you're okay. Now we just have to escape again and stay together."
