Curse of Science

"I wouldn't go that far," Nox said grining. As they touched down. Nox let go of Kira only to hold her again and kiss her.

 

Kira kissed him, smiling happily. "Now we're out, and we can do whatever we want. No parents, nothing." She giggled, hugging Nox.

 

Zoey sighed out, seeing Abby wasn't budging from her spot. "I guess that's a no to everyone else..." She took a Twinkie and opened the wrapper, soon after wards stuffing it in her mouth like there was no tomorrow.

 

"Yeah so now what. We need a car," Nox said.

 

Alexa finished the drawing, sighing as a tear slid down her face. She wiped it away quickly, then slowly got up, walking over to the bags. "Anything with fruit?" she asked.

Kira pointed. "Let's steal one!" she giggled.

 

"No no no," Nox said, "we can buy one leagaly."

 

Kira was surprised. "you have that much money?" she asked. "Then why don't we just buy a house and settle down?"

 

"If I can get back to the car we'd have plenty," Nox said, "And sorry no house."

 

Kira smiled. "I wasn't sure it would happen anyway." She held Nox's hand, following him.

 

"It might one day," Nox said, "but for now a new car."

 

Kira smiled. "One day." she sighed, then stopped. "Listen, there is somethign I haven't told you."

 

"What is it," Nox asked looking at Kira.

 

"I have a sister.....Alexa. She was..with me, but we got separated..." Kira looked down.

 

"She was an experiment to wasn't she," Nox asked. I can't keep this many safe.

 

Kira nodded, looking down. "She's.....I don't know where she is. I was looking for her when I met you. When they captured me. I can't find her anywhere....."

 

Nox sighed, "I don't know if I can protect you both."

 

Kira smiled a little. "Its okay. I would do anything for her. She's the only family I have left. Besides you now."

 

Nox looked away from Kira in thought.

 

Kira opened her mouth to say something, when she turned her head. "Look out!" she dove for Nox, pushing him out of the way as a car screeched down the road, swerving toward them.
