"And she's not a willing volinteer either," Nox said then rushed to Kira's side.

 

Alexa turned and threw up her hands in exparation(sp?) "You wanna leave? What the hell? Go! I for one, am not caring." She went over to a corner, leaning against the wall. "I've never had a family. Do I know what its like? No! But since you seem to be your own little family. I don't care. I'm staying here." She turned away, not used to so much emotion. She lay down on her side, her back to the other three.

Kira sleepily opened her eyes. "Hey...." she murmured. She was so tired....

 

"Kira your going to be asleep for awhile but I'll be here when you wake up," Nox said holding Kira's jand.

 

Kira gently squeezed his hand. "Why can't we leave now?" she murmured, her eyelids heavy.

 

Abby stepped away from the group, not wanting to do anymore with anyone for a while. She was still pretty exhausted after all from the earlier experience.

Zoey looked around at everyone, standing in the center of the room, really not sure of what to do. She sighed out. "Okay! We're all acting like this cause we're hungry. I'm going to go find food!" Before anyone could say anything, she went to the window of the apartment building and spread her gliders out. She jumped and started to glide gently below. Nobody was around to see...

 

Alexa sighed again. "I hope to die in the next three seconds." Why was she still hanging out here?

 

"Doctors said something else was wrong and that you need to be asleep through it all," Nox lied.

 

Kira smiled dreamily. "Okay. I'll see you....." she drifted to sleep, her eyes closing.

A nurse came in. "You need to leave now, sir."

 

Nox stood up and pulled out his gun, "Out now."

 

The nurse didn't flinch. "Sir, you do not want to be here for this." Two big guys came in behind her.

 

Alexa sat up, thougth for a moment, then pulled a sketchbook out of her bag. She started drawing from memory, the way she usually did.

 

Abby found her own corner and slid down. She sighed out quietly, tucking her wings around her tightly as for comfort. What... has happened?

 

Nox shot at their feet, "next shot will acualy hit you."

 

The nurse calmy pulled out a gun and pointed it at Kira. "You shoot me or them, I will reflexily pull the trigger."

 

"Why are you doing this," Nox asked.

 

"She needs to be studied. Why do you care?" The nurse stared at him blankly, keeping her gun pointed at Kira. "Maybe I should end all this for her."

 

Nox focused on the clip board at the end of the bed. It flew up to hit the gun out of the nurces hand then the gun came to Nox's hand, "because I love her."

 

The nurse stepped back. "You can have a few more minutes." she mumured. She and the big guys walked out.
