~Crossover Cove~

Although the wound through his chest was healed, the colour had drained from Vanitas's face. He was thinking of what his life would be like if he and Fang settled down...

Darelen had Khione use an ability which created a giant ice pillar and had the Eidolon ram through it, breaking the screen and sending giant ice shards into the opponent(s) in the process. Then he jumped off Khione to see what Vanitas was like. Fang was crying over him, they'd been the first he'd met. "Come on, buddy. If you make it, drinks are on me." He then hopped back onto his Eidolon and prepared for another assault. Shepard, Xigbar and Richard had to hold off the Dragonspawn they'd brought with them.

 

Kneeling beside him, Fang shook her head and couldn't think of her life without Vanitas and touched his cheek. Doing the only thing she could think of, Fang wrapped her arms around him and held him close to her, softly singing what he sang on the Saint's Cradle. Harry slightly blushed, thinking of Hermione and Snow also blushed, as he thought of Serah. Vanille thought of Hope and sighed, changing to her Saboteur role. Watching Fang, Yuna thought of Tidus and cast Life, in case for the worst.

 

Vanitas meets Morgan Freeman. ​

Vanitas found himself in a place, the sky was white, and the ground was... clouds? What the...
A man approaches him. "It's not you're time yet." Vanitas stares at him. "And who are you to say that?" The man responds.

Vanitas goes wide-eyed and wide-mouthed. "Now, Kronos has tried to kill you through the Original Performer of the Epic Poem. Or Genesis Rhapsodos, if you prefer. However, he ain't God. And I say it isn't you're time yet. Look down there." He and Vanitas looked down on the scene of Vanitas' body, and Fang. Vanitas's heart got a strange feeling. "It's called love. As in, actual, proper, love." "Wha---" "You have a good life ahead of ye. And it isn't your time yet, so, I'm sending you back... not that you should be here in the first place. Because, you know, it ain't you're time." "Th-thanks..." "Now, if anyone asks. It was..." He applies white shades. "Morgan Freeman who revived you." With that, Vanitas suddenly lost his vision in a white blur...

Vanitas' body was still grey. A random machine that Richard had hooked up to him for effect suddenly went BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. Everyone looked sad... then, suddenly, the machine started going. BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. Vanitas looked up, and sung the first part of the chorus. "All.... I have.... in me.... in my mind.... is.... you." The colour started to return to his body.

OOC: My aim is not to offend, it is to entertain.

 

Fang smiled softly, Harry and Yuna smiled. Vanille and Snow smiled, while still on top their Eidolons. Griff remained where he was, watching. Harry touched his chest and sighed, watching them. Snow touched his engagement necklace and thought of Serah, as well as the crystal Hermione wore to keep safe. Yuna thought of the first time she met Tidus and smiled, with Harry also thinking about what he first met Hermione and the night they became friends.

Diamond Dust struck, the fire and ice combo doing far more damage than either would have seperately, and causing Orphan to grunt in pain, though immedietely things went to hell.
Orphan grabbed ahold of Shiva and swept it across the battle field, knocking back all who were even remotely close to them, before they drew themselves completely from the liquid, standing a huge deal taller than the l'Cie and allies.
They chuckled to themselves, in a manner very reminescint of Dysley, before the scripture adorning it's blade began to glow with a purple light, knocking everyone down to the ground, draining them of energy, and causing the Eidolons to vanish. Seeing that nobody could retaliate, Orphan lowered themselves back into the liquid.
"Have you ever paused to consider why we make l'Cie of men?" they asked, almost tauntingly.
"We fal'Cie are crafted for a single purpose, and granted finite power to that end. With men it is not so. Men dream, aspire, and through indomitable force of will, achieve the impossible. Your power is beyond measure. We take l'Cie that we might wield such strength. Through you, we obtained freedom from our bondage. And now, your Focus alone remains. Defy it, and all will be for naught. Cocoon and Earth's sacrifices, and that of Gran Pulse as well."
With a single gesture, Vanille was encompassed in a dark energy casted from the fal'Cie, causing her a great deal of pain as Orphan began to attempt to lure one of the l'Cie to become Ragnarok, the one thing that would be able to destroy them.
"Yet if we but summon the Maker, we will be granted the chance to begin again. All our sins absolved, and the world -- born anew! Sumbit l'Cie! Become Ragnarok! Lead us into the light!"

OOC: None of the characters in this scene can fight right now. Words, not actions, are what will be important in this scene.

Darelen had just witnessed one miracle. He knew it was time for another. "... I'll do it. I'll destroy you." He stepped forward. "Orphan! I said I'll do it! I'll become Ragnarok! Just let her go!"

The other's just stared... all apart from Richard. "I totally saw that coming."

Orphan dropped Vanille immedietely, causing her to fall to the floor, and the fal'Cie hybrid to stare down at Darelen.
"Ragnarok. The will to guide a world unto oblivion. Can you bear the sin of our salvation?"

"What?" Lightning said, attempting to climb to her feet. "I knew we couldn't trust you. Turning your back on Earth and Cocoon already..."

"You heard me! I said I'll do it!" He turned to Lightning. "I made a promise... to protect my familiy. My younger brother is a Jedi hopeful, Jaden..." He went up to Vanille. "Sometimes..." He drew his weapon. "YOU'VE GOTTA CHOOSE!!!" He went in, apparently in attempt to hurt her.
Immediately Shepard went in there and detained him, grabbing his weapon. "BACK OFF!" "What are you do--?"

Sazh ran to him also, grabbing ahold of him from behind in attempt to protect Vanille from him.
"This ain't the time to be losing it, kid!" he said, holding him tightly.
"What do you gain from hurting Vanille?" Lightning demanded. "We're in this together."

 

He breaths heavily, seemingly pondering what do to..."This is my focus... no ones gonna stop me!" Pushing Shepard back and throwing Sazh off of him, he then kicks Shepard who is charging towards him. Then, he stares at Lightning. He throws his dual-blade into the air and jumps up, doing a back-flip kick so it goes higher. He then lands near the Fal'cie. He starts glowing orange, and then he jumps. Next thing you know he's up-side down. He grabs his weapon which was falling down, and then, with a loud cry, does a summersault and lands on the ground, sticking his blade in the ground as to make a giant shock-wave-type-thing happen. A giant light consumed everything.


OOC: Now... who'll remain l'cie, and who'll turn Cie'th?

Envelloped in the bright light, Lightning, Sazh, and presumably the other l'Cie (except Vanille for some reason) were changed. No longer human, they had become nothing but Cie'th.

The Cie'th that used to be Lightning struggled to get up, attempting to grab it's gunblade, but unable to due to the shape of it's new hands. Instead, it stood, along with the other Cie'th, as they slowly began to shamble towards Darelen. Orphan simply laughed at what was going on, knowing that their salvation would soon be upon them.

 

He looked around. "Everything I do..." He realised what he'd done. "Why!? Is this what you meant to happen!?!" He was on the verge of crying.

Vanitas had enough strength to yell out. "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!" As Fang was presumably turned into Cie'th. Suddenly he glowed(?) black, and a load of Floods and Archravens spawned from him.

Standing by Orphan, Marluxia stood quite and witnessed the whole scene. From turning into Cei'th to the summoning of the unveresed. He turned his head slightly toward the fal'cie in a "What should i do?" manner.

The Cie'th all approached Darelen, one of them hitting him hard across the head, before the others joined in also; all four of them beating harshly on him, obviously trying to maul him to death. The kept hitting, causing him to stagger around in the midst of them, each one hitting him towards another, which in turn struck him towards a third.
Eventually, one hit him to the ground, where they continued for a short while, before collapsing on top of him, apparently unable to move anymore.

 

After the first few hits, he staggered. "I guess I deserve it, after what I did!" Then they closed in...
"Are they my sins to bear for choosing salvation?" When they fell in around him, it looked as if it were all over. "Khione... Jaden... Ligh--" he went silent.
Khione - his Eidolon - started crying... not that anyone could hear her. "Please. Stop!"

"Give them back!" Yelled Shepard, but it was too late.
... or was it?
Richard knew what was gonna happen. He's so gonna come back as some evil thing of mass destruction."
Xigbar was about to yell at Marluxia, when suddenly, the Cie'th went flying off Darelen's back.

He got up, his l'cie brand(and so his face also, because that's where it is.) started glowing orange. He turned too look at Orphan. Anger was in his eyes. The brand glowed brighter, with a cry he fell on his knee's.

"Salvation is born of sacrifice - Miracles, of misery." Orphan said over the events transpiring, as Derelen became something decidedly non-human.
"From shattered shard, a new crystal legend will arise. Let anger be your strength! Despair. Despair and save us all! Lo! The day of wrath is come!"

 

Jumping at the shield several times, Ragnarok-Darelen finally managed to rip apart the barrier. He roared, and prepared to deal the final blow to Orphan.

Shepard could only stand by and watch in horror. Xigbar swore if he could feel, he'd be terrified of what was about to happen. Vanitas let out a small gasp that sounded oddly like "Fang!", then set his Unversed against Marluxia. Richard sat there with popcorn and a tinfoil hat.

Meanwhile, Roxas, Xion and Cloud could all feel something... as if something horrible was going to happen. They were right.

OOC: Ok, now we need Aerith G to interfere with the flashbacks and whatnot... or something...

 

Vanille was shocked at seeing all her friends, Fang, Snow, Lighting, and Sazh, turned into Cie'th, turning to Darelen preparing to deal the final deal, Vanille gasped and shouted, "STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She ran to him and tried to hold him back, "Please...... stop........ I'll do it....... I'll destroy Orphan." "No, Vanille!!!!! What about Hope?!!!" Harry said, being held back by Yuna. Vanille smiled at him, but that didn't stop Harry's worry.

Hermione gripped Serah's crystal tightly for some reason, Ron and Aqua looked at her, Aqua asked her, concerned, "Everything okay there?" "What's wrong? Hermione, what's the matter?" Ron asked her, just as concerned, Hermione held the crystal tightly in her hand, "I...... I don't know....... Something must have happened....... I don't know what.........."

"Just what are you planning on doing?" a voice said in Darelen's mind, during the instant in which he was going to deliver the final blow.
"You made Orphan let go of Vanille. Do you really still plan on going along with Barthandelus's plan after that? Orphan will die, not because of Ragnarok, but because of l'Cie. So get yourself together, and finish this thing properly."
All this had been said to him in that one instant, as though time had stood still to allow it to be said. Even so, the Lightning whose voice it was sounded ever so slightly different. Like she'd seen a whole lot more than the Lightning he knew.
And then the voice was gone.

 

A flash of light occured, and Ragnarok restrained himself from the final blow. Instead, he fell to the floor as he turned back into Darelen. "Thanks.... Lightning...." When he woke up, it was to find everyone's mouth's wide open.

All apart from Richard. Who was still wearing his tinfoil hat.
