But that does give me a idea. Have the Thundercats who are in the tournament fight in the clothes of the original series.

You could swap Cheetara and have Tygra in the team. So she can join the Wilys in cheering for the team.

 

Tygra's on a team with Katniss and Samus. He helped them while he was looking for the others. Katniss decided that not to die like she almost did last time she'd need max numbers on her team.

 

Okay should point out, we should call the Terra's by their titles otherwwise, confusion would ensure.
