But you have to admit, There's a hint of truth behind it.
Drakengard is an extremely dark game, even the US version, which has Sadism, incest, pedophilia, demon possessed children, cannibalism, An entire stage dedicated to murdering children. And that was toned down quite a bit from the japanese version.

Sadism is prevalent in all countries, and isn't even a problem if dealt with right. One could argue the same with incest.
Demons possessing children is very common. The Exorcist, for example. Cannibalism being used for creep factor is too. Also children being murdered, though I'll agree that's pretty dark a theme.
But frankly all that pales in comparrison to some things that are American-made.
