Though, apparently insane people get a free pass as long as it is for humor. :\

And myself, I had a musical number too. But it was relevant (sorta) and it was also actually the post that proved a point that the whole musical numbers out of character thing was getting out of hand. Which is when the rule to not have out of character singing was actually made.

It all started when Scar sung 'Be Prepared' way in the prologue arc, which was cool.
But then yeah, people just took advantage of something funny and it got a bit silly. If it is something in character etc, then it works and it is good. But if everyone does it for the hell of it. It just kills it.
That's essentially the issue.

 

Aw come on! You all reedited your character's songs into their series, even ones that aren't a part of their film or such! Besides, There's Abridged Characters so someone is BOUND to go to the gay joke thing!

You have Final Fantasy characters say it. Your own argument is flawed.

 

I've been thinking about a actual musical number with the characters I had that actually sing in their canon, such as Yuna and Garnet. But the problem, I can't think of a song that's funny enough to do. Most of the songs I like are either sad, happy, romantic, nowhere in the funny area.

 

That's not the issue here.
The song wasn't even in the first place to do with your characters. It was IN FACT to do with others already in the Cove. Albeit, you did edit it.
But the point is that none of your characters who did sing, would actually sing like that anyway, or even act like that.
I honestly doubt Tidus would have called the villainous cast of Disney 'gay'. In fact, would he even know what Disney is? I doubt it.

And regardless of how ever many abridged characters there are in this RP, the general rules of KHV have to be followed. Homophobic stuff is not allowed, especially if handled distastefully and out of character.
If a character did actually have homo-phobic tendencies, then fair enough. But being homophobic for the sake of it is uncool.
And even if a character did have homo-phobic tendencies, the RPer in question would likely know to play it down anyway so it couldn't be taken the wrong way. Even if meant as a joke or whatever.

That's all I'm clarifying on the matter. I'm sure I'm not the only person with this particular view point.

That's exactly another issue.
If there is no funny song... then don't put one in for those characters. Them singing such a thing is clearly gonna be out of character.

 

I meant their little arguement. I will talk about other things related to the RP just not this one.

 

I know exactly what you meant. My point is that if you're "Not.....touching......with.......75.....foot...... pole..........................", then do not post simply saying that. That is a spam post, and is both against the rules and annoying, especially during this kind of a situation.

Come on, guys. Can't we just follow the rules and have some fun in the brilliance that was brought by the minds of Droid and DT? Also, that comment about not touching with 75 foot pole did remind me of the Grinch song, but I got over that thought.

You know, I was about to say something about a nazi running the RP... but then a realisation occured to me.
This arguement in pointless. There is no point to it. It's an arguement over something that happened in an RP, on a computer. Not even worth pointing a finger at.
My friends, I digress that all though I do not see DT OR Bushy's point, I do not see the point of arguing about this anymore. The whole arguement is completely and utterly ridicoulous. Absurd, even. It doesn't even concern a shred of real life. Therefore, it is irrelevent.
Something worth arguing about... is probably why all those people in Africa have to die... and that's about it.
