She didn't think Anakin killed children when in the last movie he outright said he commited genocide on an entire village of Tuskin Raiders.

 

I thought he confessed that secret to her in the second movie, after he did it.

He did, but mass murder is still mass murder. I'm just saying I find it hard to believe she'd think he was innocent about killing children when he admited doing the same thing last movie.

 

That's because she thought he'd changed - so did everyone else... they were right. He did change... just not in the way they'd hoped.
