Lightning isn't really that manly. MOTHERFUGGIN' GOLBEZ on the other hand...

 

Come on, Tifa wasn't useless at least and you know as well as everyone else did, you always put her in your Party with Cloud and one other character cause you can't have a party of two... apart from the Sephiroth fight where you make Parties of 3 but there's only like 8 characters.

 

He said manliest, not most useless. Hence Tifa and Lightning.

 

Yes Golbez is manly, but Lightning's the Female version of Cloud.

Therefore, she's manlier.

Just because she's a female Cloud.

 

And the first one to use a gun.

Jecht is more manly.

So she's an emo?

It's true, he is.

Cloud wasn't actually emo except for like, 5 minutes of the game. He was sarcastic, close to his friends, and genuinely quite nice.
Lightning is the exact same as him though.

Additional Info: Amitie is Kyrie's sister.
She is more hot-blooded than her sister, which usually leads her to take some drastic measures early on. While she does share the same weapon as her sister, the way in which she chooses to use them is quite different. Amitie prefers to use her weapons in their gun form and fight from a distance, as apposed to Kyrie, who prefers to use the sword form of the weapons.

Additional Info: Vile is a very arrogant, violent and rude character who has a very unstable and enraged mind. Though he used to be a member of the Maverick Hunters, he never once considered himself as one, and had a habit of not accepting orders from anyone except himself, which often resulted in fierce arguments with his commander and partially to his own arrest and labeling of being a Maverick.
Because of an irreparable short circuit in his electronic brain, Vile developed a strange, almost sociopathic passion for hunting down Mavericks and totally annihilating them, while causing as much damage as possible on the territory. This also includes innocent bystanders and comrades alike. This passion is also what may have led to his own arrest and labeling of being a Maverick.

Additional Info:Leader of the 8th Armored Battalion. The steel armor than envelopes his body boasts a high level of defensive strength, rendering most attacks useless. Just like his hard exterior suggests, his personality is rough and gritty. Even though Sigma has taken control of the Maverick Hunters Battalions, he fervently obeys orders from all commanders. Since he needs mined ore and minerals for ammunition, he must maintain control over a mine to keep his supply coming.

Additional Info:Leader of the 4th Land Battalion, Flame Mammoth used to be stationed in the Middle East. Hearing of Sigma's rebellion, he dreamt of getting an even tighter grasp on his own potential power and of going on violent rampages, and decided to join the rebellion. He enjoys crushing and humiliating anyone weaker than himself and was hated by the Reploids who served under him. This is why none of his battalion followed him to join in the rebellion. He plans on letting his firepower do the talking, taking over an industrial area, and turning it all into weapons manufacturing.
