My PSP tells me "The Disc cannot be read"

Clean it. If it doesn't work, bring it back in and ask for an exchange. You're allowed to do so within 30 days...well, if you got it at a gamestop

 

Well it played BBS for a bit but stops after I get sliding dash or if I go into the menu after that. No other game has worked.

Got it today. If it won't work tonite I'm storming gamestop tommorow!

Anyway, that sucks dude, sorry to hear (read?) that. I hate when thing don't go well with my PSP (I love the damn thing to pieces. Not literally, thankfully).

 

do that. Because you might have a messed up disk. If it stops because you got sliding dash or if you go into the menu after, I'm betting someone messed it up big time by hacking it or something. But they have to give you a full refund, or like I said, you're allowed to exchange it for the same game within 30 days of buying it

 

Yeah but I'm unable to read ANY discs too. When I put the disc in it either waits 10 seconds before telling me it won't work or it does it right when I close it.

 

Aww that sux man... used to happen to mine all the time. Just try cleaning it, that's the best option.

 

Cleaning didn't work. Only thing left now is a bloodbath.

Hack your psp. Make a LEGAL copy of the disc. And play the iso.
Discs aren't fun.

 

Perhaps your PSP requires spectacles.

 

I didn't buy something to hack it. I just want to play the game so I can make videos again.

 

Custom firmware works no different than official. Plus it isn't illegal what so ever. In fact if the iso works than you know its the disc. Plus an iso can't scratch.

This solution would work best for you.

 

Ugh.... tell you what. I'm returning it tommorow and getting a new one. If it still doesn't work I'll search ya out for help on how to hack my PSP.
