    I can't do anything but laugh, and possibly cripple them enough emotionally so that they'll think twice come the next convention.

    If dressing up like a fictional character is really a part of your pursuit of happiness in life then you need to be medicated. There's a difference between robbing someone of their freedoms and criticizing how they carry out that freedom.

    Well, in our world there is a huge variety of people, so it could be part of someone's pursuit of happiness in life, but it would be sad if it was the only thing in their pursuit.

    Well, you can't impose rules onto them just because you don't like the way they look in their costume.

    Impose rules? Of course not. It would be nice and pleasing to the eye, but it's not possible.
