    The word "convention" comes from the word "convene" which means "to come together." At a convention, a large group of people come together (convene) in a single location to share in a common interest, for example, anime.

    I've been to... ASAHiCon, FanimeCon, DAiCon, and soon, I shall go to Sac-Anime.

    Somebody beat that. I dare you.
