How would I accomplish this? I tried it with my TV once and bought component cables, but my TV isn't a component TV. My VCR is, and the sound worked, but it wouldn't display for some reason. We ended up returning the cables. Anyway, how would I go about hooking it up to my PC?
For a TV you just need the component cables. For PC though if you're planning on using like remotejoy or something then you need custom firmware and just a usb cable.
So you just need component cables, but not a component TV? Last time I tried that, like I said, I got sound, but no display. My VCR has component plugins, but it, too, only gave sound. Was there something I was supposed to do on the PSP end than just hooking it up to the TV? For the PC, what's RemoteJoy?
Buy AV/Composite cables. Connect them only to the tv. http://www.amazon.com/PSP-AV-Cable-Sony/dp/B000VIUNZI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338763247&sr=8-1 What kind of PSP? 1000, 2000 or 3000?
Alternately, you could use a homebrew enabler (HEN for short) that works with your PSP's firmware and then use a plugin/computer program called RemoteJoy to accomplish the same thing. Unfortunately, it'll usually freeze on game loading and saving screens. I'm not really sure of the legality of HEN though, even for that purpose, so I'm afraid to go into more detail than that. You can find some great tutorials through the Google search engine though.
