Square-Enix Confusing of Square-Enix to gift Microsoft

ok well, i'm not voting because you make it seem like Microsoft sucks on each option. anyways, the reason they did this was to get more money obviously. because more systems would mean more people being able to play it thus meaning more people can buy it.

 

Sqaure Enix should just keep the final fantasy series to themselves because thats their trade mark. Microsoft would then start making more "final fantasy" games that really suck in graphics and story lines.
Its like EA giving Square Enix the Sims to have.

concerning he topic on hand, short summary. SE needs money and by going multi-platform they can sell more of their product, without having to spend a dime more on development due to the easy porting with the Crystal Tools engine AND they got extra money from Microsoft so that Xbox should also get it.
Is their decision disloyal and hypocritical? Yes, but it is also a wise decision, which any halfassed company would due to survive, so quit your whining and stop making petitions and saying that you won't buy FF13 because of this. No one cares, because for each of the idiotic Sony fanboys that refuse to buy a copy, there will be 2 Xbox players who will buy the game and you know why that is? It is because Square made the right and the most profitable move.

Appearently there will be a 360 version for Taiwan. So basically they'll be getting the japanese ps3 port with chinese/korean subtitles or the english 360 version with the chinese/korean subtitles. So I guess Japanese 360 owners will have an easier time importing this game, as long as it isnt region coded that is.

 

I'm I'm pretty sure the PS3 is the only region-free console currently.:huh:

*shook head* No. I don't think they deserve it. The PS3 is the hit on the list right now as players are buying it and if Japan was to ONLY put it on PS3, then that would make MORE players buy teh PS3 ONLY. Seriously, no one can get away from the high graphics of this game. Plus I really don't think that the Xbox 360 has the right components to make XIII.

your point of view on the whole port to the 360 is all wrong.
why wouldn't microsoft deserve it?
they've done everything that sony has. sony screwed themselves over by wrong marketing stratgy.
square enix isn't gonna "give" a game to a console because they like the idea. next gen games development cost are extremly high, its nothing like it was in the PS2's generation and below. square is smart to do this, now they will not lose money. 360 is the same as the PS3 besides the fact PS3 has a slightly better pixel shader and stronger processor. when they port a game they make it work on that system. hell they could port it to the 1st xbox and it would still work (not look the same but work).

the 360 version will be the exact same in terms of hardware and what not. the only difference will be slightly (not even noticable) differences in light and darkness in the colors.


on a side not, i do believe exclusitivity of games will soon end for reason i stated above, maybe not in this generation but maybe next

I don't think M$ deserves it, but I see it more as this is a money making deal and Square is a corporation that of course wants to make money. Otherwise, they won't keep producing games. I still will buy the game for PS3 but it lets people buy it for the XBox too. I would actually be a lot more upset if suddenly Square said the game were -only- coming out on XBox. That would have screwed Sony a lot more. The Xbox does alright but it also had a year on the Wii and PS3 so really the big winner has been the Wii so far. PS3, when considering they are a year behind the XBox, isn't doing bad in sales and will get better as more games now are coming out for it.

 

Ya like FF VII remake. That'll give it a huge uping.

All I have to say is - at least they said 'also for the xbox' and not 'just for the xbox' - though i still don't think it should be on the xbox - i'm still going to get it for my ps3 =D
