Conflicting Circles Part 1, Luna Conflict.doc

On the 7th march the Federation started preparing all its forces for a massive attack against the Empire forces in the Luna sector. The Operation was called Liberation and was to start on the 8th of march. The Shangri-La was assigned the job of clearing a path to the Empire's HQ at Luna 2 by attacking Defense Station Sheri near Luna II, which had been fortiffied by the Empire. The Federation forces gave the CPHW-02-6 Multi Strike to Drake and the CPHW-02-1 Changer Strike to Yjuna for the final battle. The Empire started deploying a new MHW designated the IHW-08 Bird Hunter I, a machine on the same level as the Federation Strikers.

 

Ryo stood in the hanger that held the Reaper and crossed his arms as he stood in front of the Reaper and stared at the Reaper. 'Tomorrow is the big mission' Ryo thought to himself as he closed his eyes and sighed. The memories of his fallen comrades from the Coalitions filled his mind and the memory of their death filled his mind "I lost so many allies" Ryo said to himself quietly as he opened his eyes. "Why was I chosen to pilot the Reaper...wasn't there anybody more worthy than me? someone who would be able to pilot it better than me" Ryo said quietly

 

Yjuna sat at the edge of the hanger on top of a crate, she had a newspaper clipping of young boy's picture in her hand and she was staring at it.
" My little man is 3 already, It makes me feel much older then I should be. . . hopefully he stays safe in all of this and hopefully I get there in time before something does happen to him"
She said as she jumped off the box and slipped the paper into her pocket.

 

"I will make sure you get your son back. I will do all I can to help you reclaim your son" Ryo said walking over Yjuna with a determined smile and pointed at himself with his thumb "I promise you I will cleave a path to your son for you" Ryo said

 

" You don't have to be so generous to risk your life for someone else's child you know. . ."
She said smiling as she combed her fingers through her hair and fumbled with the device that hung on the string around her neck that seemed to glow a bit.

 

Ryo closed his eyes with a smile "but the thing is your my friend. Who else who else would I risk my life for?" Ryo said opening his eyes "If I die then that's fine so long as I died fighting for my friends its alright" Ryo said

 

" Erghh, you are too kind its almost scary. But don't say it might kill you, you might jinx it for sure."
Yjuna said chuckling as she paced around the hanger a bit.

 

"heh I guess I'm saying all this because I have something to fight for" Ryo said placing his hands in his pockets "Ever since I joined the Coalition and Federation I just fought for no clear reason" Ryo said walking with her and glanced over at the Reaper "With such a big mission coming up I cannot help but doubt my skills" Ryo said truthfully

 

One of the hanger crew came up to Ryo, "Excuse me sir, we have orders from the captain to take your MHW away until tommorrow, I ask that you give up your key" the man said as he held out his hand for the Reapers key.

 

"I see then' Ryo said pulling out his key and handed it towards the solider

 

"Thank you sir" the man said as a whole different crew arrived in the hanger, with them where large metal containers. "Alright, get to work" the man said as a metal wall was erected around the Reaper and the hanger crew got busy working on it.

 

Ryo watched the Reaper and sighed "I'm heading off. Later Yjuna" Ryo said to Yjuna as he left. Heading off to the cafeteria he got a tray of food and headed to the prison "yo I brought some food" Ryo said walking over Amy's cell

 

"Thanks, but the captain already forced me to eat" Amy said as she sat in her cell.

 

"heh glad to see Alastor is taking care of you" Ryo said with a smile as he sat across from her cell and sat against the wall. Placing the tray beside him he took a piece of bread and took a bite

 

"The captain said he was going to improve your survival chance tommorrow" Amy said as she sat in the cell "I was curious, what did he mean, and why would he tell me?"

 

"heh he probably realizes that I don't really have a chance out there" Ryo said as he took another bite of the bread roll "But I don't really blame him" Ryo mumbled as he chewed

 

"So why tell me? Have you said something to him, because if he has some stupid idea in his head I will kill you first" Amy said, walking towards the bars.

 

Ryo swallowed what was in his mouth and closed his eyes "I haven't told Alastor anything. What he has done is what he himself decided" Ryo said calmly

 

"Oh really, then what the hell is he thinking?" Amy asked, going back and sitting on her bed. There was a knock outside the brig as Mia stood there "Can I come in?" she asked.

 

"I don't see why not. Come in" Ryo said with a smile
